You can't be too careful, we're still learning about this virus. What if some months later, we find that the virus actually remain dormant in young bodies but may reactivate and replicate years later.

There are few studies that were done in the effect of Allicin (compound found in garlic) on virus, bacteria and fungi. Samples of garlic juice were taken "in vitro" and found to be able to kill viruses and bacteria instantly (ref

When garlic juice full of allicin is aerosolized and enters the alveoli (air sac) through the nasal passageway, it kills every microorganism it encounters due to many properties it contains, including hygroscopic. Some bacteria and viruses need some wetness to replicate (the reason flu is prevalent in cold seasons), the presence of garlic prevents that to happen.
Once allicin gets in the alveoli it goes straight into the circulatory system and eventually to every cell in the body, within seconds. Its Immunomodulation property enables the immune system to be on super alert mode and that's what some refers to it as the improvement of the immune system.
Allicin has vasodilator property (widening of blood vessels) which lowers blood pressure. On the other hand hypertension activates the release of cortisol hormone (stress) which has the tendency to suppress the immune system, allicin acts like a double edged sword to reverse that.
Last but not least, allicin also has anticoagulant property (prevent blood clot). Autopsies of covid-19 patients revealed that most had blood clots in their lungs and other vital organs.
