Common sense would dictate that a bank making 1/10th of KCB's profit cannot realistically have a bigger loanbook.

True, KCB has the biggest loan book in East Africa. Even looked at as KCB Kenya at KES 388B it still is far larger. I find it odd that a CEO would make such a statement unless he was mis-quoted.
