Anything that is illegal should be punished but there must be proof that a crime has been committed. Rounding up innocent people on hearsay simply because a regional commissioner has ordered that those perceived as gay or lesbians should be reported and arrested is unconstitutional and hence illegal!!

It is against the Tanzanian law unless stated otherwise.

Besides, the Gov'nor has said he has information, not data.

There is a big difference between the two considering that the former can be relayed via special phone helpline.

Makonda gets all information from defectors the same as he did for issue of drugs.

So if you know someone who is well known in kitaa obviously they will be exposed.

Think of that boy who does interviews on TVs and radios, he could be a good source of information for Mr Makonda..

How do you authenticate the information from the so called defectors? Suppose the so called defectors have a grudge against someone ,don't you think they could use such an avenue to settle their scores against their enemies?

That's not true.

But they will find out through their investigation.
