Baadhi ya wananchi walisema imebeba Covid-19 vaccine lakini afisa wa ubalozi wa marekani Michael Pryor amedai kuwa ndege imeleta materials kwa ajili ya ubalozi bila kutaja ni materials gani.

Dar es Salaam. Marekani imesema ndege ya jeshi la nchi hiyo aina ya C-17 Globemaster iliyoegeshwa katika Uwanja wa Ndege wa Kimataifa wa Julius Nyerere (JNIA) imeleta mahitaji muhimu ya ubalozi wa nchi hiyo nchini Tanzania.
Ndege hiyo ambayo kwenye bawa lake la nyuma ina bendera ya Marekani chini yake ikiandikwa herufi AMC, picha zake zilianza kusambaa mitandaoni kuanzia jana Alhamisi Julai Mosi, 2021 ikiwa katika uwanja huo uliopo jijini Dar es Salaam.
Akizungumza na Mwananchi leo Ijumaa Julai 2, 2021 ofisa ubalozi wa Marekani,
Michael Pryor amesema, “ni kweli ni ndege ya Marekani. Huwa inakuja kila mwaka kwa nyakati tofauti kushusha mahitaji muhimu ya ubalozi wa Marekani hapa nchini na kwingineko jirani.”
Bila kuyataja mahitaji hayo Pryor amesema huenda ndege hiyo ikaondoka kesho baada ya kukamilisha ushushaji. Katika mitandao ya kijamii baadhi ya watu walihoji ujio wa ndege hiyo bila majibu na wengine walijibizana kuwa huenda imeleta chanjo za Covid-19 baada ya Serikali kuruhusu uingizaji wa chanjo hizo kwa jumuiya za kimataifa.

Dar es Salaam. The United States of America has explained the reasons for the country's military plane type C-17 Globemaster landing at the Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Es Salaam.
Photos of the military plane bearing a US flag and initials AMC parked at the JNIA airport started circulating online on Thursday, July 01, with people speculating the reasons behind the plane's arrival - some stating it has brought Covid-19 vaccines.However, a US embassy official, Michael Pryor has cleared the air, explaining that the military aircraft is in Dar es Salaam to deliver supplies for the US embassy.
Without mentioning the kinds of supplies that are being offloaded, Mr Pryor said the plane's arrival is routine - a trip that happens at least once a year, delivering important supplies to the US embassy in Tanzania and other neighbouring countries.
He said that the plane is expected to jet off soon as they finish offloading the supplies.
