What is Dedollarisation ?

Is a process of substituting or reducing US Dollar as the currency used for (i) trading oil and/or other commodities(i.e.petrodollar),(ii) buying US dollars for the forex reserves,(iii) bilateral trade agreements, and (iv)dollar-denominated assets.

Kwa uelewa zaidi kuhusu hili suala pitia chapisho lililo andaliwa na Wikipedia.

US DOLLAR AS INTERNATIONAL RESERVE CURRENCY.

The U.S. dollar began to displace the pound sterling as international reserve currency from the 1920s since it emerged from the first world war relatively unscathed and since the United States was a significant recipient of wartime gold inflows. After the U.S emerged as an even stronger global superpower during the second world war, the Bretton woods agreement of 1944 established the post-war international monetary system, with the U.S dollar ascending to become the world's primary reserve currency for international trade, and the only post-war currency linked to gold at $35 per troy ounce.


After the establishment of the Bretton woods system, the U.S dollar is used as the medium for international trade. The United States Department of the treasury exercises considerable oversight over the SWIFT financial transfers network , and consequently has a huge sway on the global financial transactions systems, with the ability to impose sanctions on foreign entities and individuals.

Today nearly 60 percent of foreign exchange reserves maintained by the world's Central banks are held in dollars.

Still, that marks a decline from about 70 percent in 2000, pointing to a gradual shift within the global financial order, according to experts. While the euro's share has gone up only marginally since its launch- from 18 percent to just under 20 percent now - China's renminbi, also know as the Yuan, has grown fastest since 2016, even though less than 3 percent of global reserves are held in that currency.

" We are clearly moving towards a more multilateral world as shown by the falling share of the US dollar in forex reserves", Alicia García Herrero, a senior fellow at the Brussels-based think tank Bruegel told, Al Jazeera.

Over the past year, the incentives for countries to turbocharge that shift away from the dollar have only increased.

Sasa kwa mfano Saudia china na let say India wakasema wanatumia fedha zao kufanya biashara je USA itawapiga makombora kwa kua wameamua kuachana na USD?
Kwa muamko ninaouona naamini kabisa nchi nyingi sana zinaenda kuachana na USd.
Na USA Hana wa kumlaumu,Bali lawama zirudi kwake mwenyewe.
Yeye kaitumia USD kama silaha.
Sasa imekula kwake.
 
Mimi nachojiuliza labda tuseme Saudia aseme anaachana na USD ina maana inambidi kwenye akiba yake awe na fedha za nchi zote duniani ili aweze kufanya nazo bihashara?

Pia najiuliza ile sababu iliyopelekea nchi zote kukubaliana kutumia USD kama kipimo cha thamani ya pesa zote imeshatatuliwa? Na ilikuwa ni ipi?

Mwisho, kama ili jambo ni tishio kwa usitawi wa taifa la marekani mbona serikali yao imekaaa kimya wala sisikii ikipambana lisitokee au wanajua haliwezekani au wao ndiyo wako nyuma ya ilo jambo na wana plan zao wanazozijua wenyewe?
 
Kabla ya kuuliza maswali ya kilevi ungeanza kwanza kujiuliza kwa nini sasa hivi hao wote uliowataja pamoja na adui wa muda wote wa Marekani Urusi wanatumia dola katika biashara ya kimataifa.
