Long-winded ain’t really my style. So I’ll be as breviloquent as possible.
Follow me:
Another July of another election year, we kinda find ourselves where we were in 2015.
Another high-profile ‘ex’-CCM stalwart has jumped ship to the nascent ACT Wazalendo party.
Yesterday they had their rah-rah welcome party for him. Based on my eye test, there was plenty of cheerful bonhomie amongst the party faithful à la 2015 when CHADEMA welcomed the other high-profile CCM stalwart into the[ir] fold.
I find it hard to believe that this new ACT-Wazalendo member joined the party because he likes them so much or because he agrees with the party’s platform. After all, he’s been a CCM stalwart all his life and even ran for his ex-party’s nomination in 2015 and tried again in 2020.
I believe he has been promised something. Something similar to what the other guy was promised in 2015.
Now fam, do y’all see what I see here? I’m no political maven. But I have an uncanny ability to see ‘game’.
Something inside me; deep in my bones, is telling me that this could be part of a grand scheme by CCM to tighten its stranglehold on the opposition.
If it’s not, then the coincidence is too strange.
A guy they fondly refer to as a ‘seasoned spy’ [is that the translation for jasusi mbobezi?] now will be one of the prominent members of the opposition camp. Hahahahaaa, damn!
He will probably take part in many, if not all, secret party meetings. They will probably nominate him to run for president, knowing full well that he ain’t gonna win.
He will probably stick around for a little while after and then go back from whence he came, just like the other one.
Come 2025, same thing will probably happen again.
Time will tell.
Political perfidiousness sucks. Can’t trust none of them.
Happy Friday.
