If what is being reported is to go by, meaning all what happened was done in good faith devoid of EU duress then this could herald a good start on national healing.

However we should take this circumspectly waiting for the outcome or rather positive results of the talk from SSH which would affirm whether SSH meant what she promised and promised what she meant. And not just another escapade charade!!

No I beg yo differ with you,she had a choice indeed;but rember these two people are buddies for a long time,since bunge la katiba and additionally,she is a very humble person,if it werent for those reasons,she could really not meet him

Lakini pia, angeweza kabisa kwenda kumtembelea Lissu spitalini hapo Nairobi bila baraka za bosi wake?

Nasita kabisa kuamini kwamba alifanya hivyo bila kupata green light ya bosi wake!

Just to add on my previous post. SSH should be bold enough to deal with dissent within her CCM party I believe some aren't happy. Reason being, some had made the existed schism as a good political capital to thrive on.

As SSH changes the political trajectory, those who made a political career out of this would be rendered policitically bankrupt. Nothing to peddle around!

Halafu anavyoshinikiza kiongelewe humu utafikiri yupo vema kumbe anacho kile cha kurusha mikono akiongea.

Fikiria hapo tu kaandika Paragraph 4 lakini kasharudia sentence 2 za " if you". Kwahiyo akiandika paragraph 12 itakuwa na if you 6. Hapa ina maana anakosa style Mpya ya maneno na pia vocabularies.

Could be. Lakini hata bosi wake asingeweza kusema asiende maana ingeacha maswali mengi. Unamzuiaje Makamu wako kumtembelea mbunge aliyepigwa risasi na ambae hukuficha animosity yako kwake ? Si utafanya watu waanze kufikiri vingine?

Ni kweli.

Lakini bado nasita kuamini kuwa alienda tu mwenyewe bila hata kumtaarifu bosi wake.

Sidhani kama bosi wake naye aliyajulia hayo kwenye vyombo vya habari kama ilivyokuwa kwa sisi wengine.

We are told the visit took about an hour and they talked about a range of issues concerning the current state of political affairs.

Fair enough.

Since assuming the presidency, I don’t think she has met any high ranking leader from the main opposition party of CHADEMA [I stand to be corrected].

But now, while in Brussels, she has.

Which begs the question: did she really have a choice?

Could she have denied a request for a meeting with Tundu Lissu while she’s out there in the European capital basically begging for money and aid and whatnot?

How would that have looked in the eyes of the world? Not good.

Could she have given him an audience had it been in Kampala or Kigali, where they have like-minded regimes in power?

I doubt it. Seriously doubt it.

Nevertheless, I hope it was sincere and not just a PR stunt and performance art!
