It's a bit confusing. Your title shows 'prostitute' and in your message u introduced 'malaya', 'kahaba' and 'changudoa', so which is which? Or you think all of the words are the same? Anyway for your help here it goes:
A prostitute in Tanzania is a person who does sexual intercourse for gain, this is according to the laws of the land (Penal Code Cap 16 R.E 2002). When we come to Kiswahili, prostitute is substituted to various terminologies in respect to geographical factors, reflection of the acts and conducts as attributed to prostitutes, and personal interpretations which may be in fact or in emotion. Such terminologies are like the ones you have introduced in your thread. Now taking into account one after another,
1. Changudoa is a type of species of fish found in the Indian Ocean, small in size but so cunning and clever whose qualities were likened to pretty small in size girls who, like Changudoa, trick men by luring them with their body postures as to make them be enticed to have sex with them for lucrative gain.
2. Malaya may be popularly known but may differ from the meaning attached thereto prostitute. Some think, malaya is any woman or girl who has sexual affair with various men ( but this is a stereotype and a gender bias as culture owes it, because there numerous men who do the same) and recently malaya has added a meaning of any female who sales herself for pleasing men sexually.
3. Kahaba on the other hand sounds a bit formal when expressing prostitute. In ancient times the word referred to a woman who had more than one husband, a woman who was attractively decorated with good fragrance, jewels, and mrr by which a man was lured and concubined her for a while.
Therefore a prostitute is either a male or a female who. In countries where prostitution permitted by law you can find prostitutes in brothels organised by a pimp or madam.

You just copied and pasted TUKI works. If u you ain't educated, it's ok, but if you are, your education is useless ( Taasisi ya Ukuzaji Kiswahili Tanzania TUKI is composed by people some of who are educated in the same level like some of us herein jf, so their thoughts still are liable to critics, as for example it does not make sense to allege that a word can be used interchangeably and if it is so, why then should people bother have a word which has no importance when its substitute can assume its usage? That's not the linguistic approach)
