I recently found myself skipping pages - sometimes whole chapters - while I read. It doesn't matter if it's a good book or not. I feel like I am either speed reading because the book is boring but I still want to know the end but read some of the middle just in case the interest level picks up. Or the story progression is slow but I don't want to dismiss it just in case it gets better. Or the book is so good that I want to skip to the "good" parts. Even when I end up having to reread a chapter because I missed something important I still do it.

Does anyone else experience this?

Get a better book that you can read cover to cover.

You do not want to feel like a jack ass once you realize it was a bad read.

You will feel like kicking your own butt.

if I find a book boring, it is shelved, I dont waste my time for something not interesting

U read books often?

Are we talking about books books or books as in euphemism?

Coz am pretty sure before reading a book we should have some kind of dosier or reference before investing our energy and time.
That way we won't have to skip pages.

But if it's a euphemism, then Yes, I like skipping to those good parts and reliving them.

I was an avid reader of books. But with time I can’t keep the pace anymore, I think it’s because of age and responsibilities. No time to waste anymore. For now in order not to skip a single page, a book must be very good.

Most of the time, when I read my books ,I seek for assistance specifically for those people who knows more( readers) than I do and they recommend!

I read page by page! No skipping because I invest my time and money on reading! I really enjoy reading!

I may skip eating dinner but not pages!
