Hizi lazima zijulikane kwa wananchi wote.

Zitakuwa na uzito tu pale Mahanga atakapoonyesha kuwa madai ya kuwa "ameguishi cheti cha elimu yake" badala ya "kutokusema ukweli kuhusu elimu yake" yamemletea madhara makubwa irreparable damages katika reputation yake. Fake is thy name Tanzania ! Slowly but surely, we have been trashing our own country and now the comedy continues. We are trashing our education system. Reports say that our MPs are falling all over themselves to acquire fake PhDs.I have also got a PhD after years of hard work. I got the PhD at the University of Kusadikika after finishing my thesis entitled: 'Watching girls go by in the Dar es Salaam metropolis'. The methodology involved an in-depth scrutiny of the ethos of sex vis-a-vis HIV/AIDS in the city.

See? Easy streets! All Tanzanians should be awarded PhDs. Maybe we should replace the word 'Ndugu', which makes much more sense to me, than 'Dokta'. The nosey press over the weekend rang some of the dokta ministers. The Minister of East African Cooperation, Dokta Diodorus Kamala, said he acquired his doctorate degree from Commonwealth Open University, which the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) simply pooh, poohs as a load of nonsense.

But that is not the end of the story. Dokta Kamala is also undertaking a second doctorate degree at the Mzumbe University through long-distance learning arrangement. He has never said about the doctorate's discipline. It could be 'The sexual habits of horny beans in Morongo Region', I don't know.Presumably after that Dokta Kamala will be titled Hon. Dokta-Dokta Diodorus Kamala, Minister for East African Cooperation! Which is cool. One wonders: Does he do anything else, apart from being a Minister for East African Cooperation?

Another minister is Dokta Nchimbi. He also got his doctorate through Commonwealth Open University, which the TCU regards as a load of bull. Dokta Nchimbi confirmed his academic mettle when he told the nosey press: "I'm attending a soccer match. If you want to talk to me make sure it is about my ministry and not anything else," he is quoted to have said.But Dokta Nchimbi should know that uttering fake doctorate degrees is a criminal offence. That does not affect his offices? Surely it does. He was busy watching ball.

Probably Dokta Mrisho Ngassa was in the game. He scored after he got a lovely ball from the skipper of Taifa Stars, Dokta Shadrak Nsajigwa. Come to think of it -- why do we love to attach titles to our names? It must be human vanity. You want to claim you are heavier than other humans. That the air you breathe is better than the air other human beings breathe.

I attended a course on human psychology. The topic was 'The wars between officialdom versus the media.' I even teach the younger, easily intimidated writers who are new to the job. Officialdom loves to create 'atmosphere'. They will want to invite you to their air-conditioned offices, whose rent is paid by the taxpayers. Will make you wait unnecessarily. Then they will talk at you, instead of talking to you. Just refuse to be intimidated.

Just look at the pompous bureaucrat, then mentally strip him off his clothes and then infect him or her with a stab of diarrhoea and put him in the loo. Believe me you will feel much more relaxed. In the end they are just like the rest of us! We want to know -- just who are those fake doctorate degree holders in the Cabinet?

Funny. Why does Obama not refer to himself as Dokta Barack Obama PhD (Harvard), son of Dokta Obama Sr. PhD (Harvard), son of Dokta Onyango, PhD (K'Ogelo)? it is simply Mr. Barack Obama, or President Obama occassionally.

Funnier still. It was not Dr. Julius Kambarage Nyerere PhD, son of Senior Chief Nyerere Burito. Simply Mwalimu or Ndugu Nyerere.

Why the embarassing African obsession with titles, including bogus ones? Imagine His Excellency the President & Commander-In-Chief of the All The Armed Forces of the Peoples Republic of So and So, EBS, MP, Mtukufu Rais, His Premiership, His/Her Worship the Bishop, et cetera.

No so funny: Iddi Amin Dada, Al Haji, President of the Republic Of Uganda, Conquerer of the British Empire, MBE, OBE, EBE etc.

Or in the the cases of Mobutu and Bokasa, the understandable unsupportable long titles, many unpronounceable.

Dr.Nchimbi should open his mouth and talk to the public about his PhD. I have only one question to him: "what do you do with your PhD sir?"
President Kikwete wants you people with the highest degrees in the country to write books so that you can add value to the general public. Be honest brother, can you really do some thing of that kind? If you have a genuine degree please react to this otherwise tutajua kuwa ni Wizi mtupu!

Watajwe majina yao wote hao wenye fake PhD.
Halafu wachukuliwe hatua zifuatazo: 1) walipe hela walizopewa(mshahara etc) kama wasomi wa ngazi hiyo kwa muda wote walipokuwa madarakani. 2)wanyang'anywe madaraka waliyonayo maana sio waaminifu kushika public offices. The same should apply to those dons at Mzumbe. Don't eat wananchi's money that way. Let those posts go to the deserved candidates.

How does holding a Doctorate make you any different?At the very least "A Doctored-Doctorate?".In principle,Doctorates are normally confined in the University Campuses,and not misused elsewhere to send scares and chilling waves of apprehension to the Led who have never seen the gimmicks and treacheries of a Half-Baked Lecturer in "Mikogocology!".Deliver is the keynote address.But Dishing out promises and articulating the Abstracts and the No-Where-To-Be-Seen theories! Most of these guys,Adam let me tell you frankly have excelled in 'Pumbaology',just chance to listen to their Rhetorics and you will burst out laughing! Whoever told them,that if you start with a PhD in your introduction to those screwed-eyes in the villages,it will send shivers all over their spines "must be blessed" for the Kingdom of Liars is assured!just next to hell! These type of people have been warned by jesus ,like 2700 yeras ago, how to respect a high table, yet they still like to be as sly as a fox! When you are being invited to the wedding, dont ever go to the high table if you are not the right person,you wont be confortable when a wedding crew replace your sit with the right man! This is exatly hold truth to these fake doctors! I think their concience is bothering them at the moment when the public is curious about their PHDs! Doctorate degree is the highest qualification, the western europe and America societies, rely on trusting a person to take charge in the capacity of CEO( Chairman and Executive officer), in large business companies like MC Donald, Wal Mart stores and Exxon. Does that means , these people wanted us, to trust them in the capacity of running our corporate & industry, with their fake doctorate? Then if they are, definitely, we dead and burried! It is a paramount important , to go a residential training rather than a corresponding mail order class to become a doctors. The whole scandals looks as ugly as sin , and the government need to do something furious, to stop this lunacy practize of self exulting people in our society from spreading to village lever!!. That is disrespectful to our society, and they have our name soiled in the world communities. Adam, Longa, longa!

It is terrifying and utterly heart-breaking to imagine how many unearthed fake academic credentials are out there! And in a country where cheating and fraud is almost a norm, fake academic credentials are just one hat out of many. There are surely legions of other 'respectable' people with fake credentials from purchased driving licences, tittle deeds, passports,birth certificates et cetera.When you have people in public offices who cheated in exams and then in acquiring all these other credentials which undeservedly 'merited' appointment to their positions, you can hardly wonder as to the regrettable service delivery and unimaginable bureaucracy that is is clogging our economic arteries.

I am of the opinion that degrees (foreign or local) should be registered and given unique numbers. This will subject such credentials under scrutiny and somehow narrow chances of cheating. But in a corrupt society,you can do this and still come full cycle, as those checking these might also be corrupt! So the bottom line here is eradicating corruption which seems to be the root of all evils bewitching us.

It's very disappointing really to see that the governing authorities do know that there are ministers with fake certificates and apart from just complaining they keep quiet. Why then taking to court those who are suspected of forged certificates from BOT?

Fake is thy name Tanzania ! Slowly but surely, we have been trashing our own country and now the comedy continues. We are trashing our education system. Reports say that our MPs are falling all over themselves to acquire fake PhDs.I have also got a PhD after years of hard work. I got the PhD at the University of Kusadikika after finishing my thesis entitled: 'Watching girls go by in the Dar es Salaam metropolis'. The methodology involved an in-depth scrutiny of the ethos of sex vis-a-vis HIV/AIDS in the city.

See? Easy streets! All Tanzanians should be awarded PhDs. Maybe we should replace the word 'Ndugu', which makes much more sense to me, than 'Dokta'. The nosey press over the weekend rang some of the dokta ministers. The Minister of East African Cooperation, Dokta Diodorus Kamala, said he acquired his doctorate degree from Commonwealth Open University, which the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) simply pooh, poohs as a load of nonsense.

But that is not the end of the story. Dokta Kamala is also undertaking a second doctorate degree at the Mzumbe University through long-distance learning arrangement. He has never said about the doctorate's discipline. It could be 'The sexual habits of horny beans in Morongo Region', I don't know.Presumably after that Dokta Kamala will be titled Hon. Dokta-Dokta Diodorus Kamala, Minister for East African Cooperation! Which is cool. One wonders: Does he do anything else, apart from being a Minister for East African Cooperation?

Another minister is Dokta Nchimbi. He also got his doctorate through Commonwealth Open University, which the TCU regards as a load of bull. Dokta Nchimbi confirmed his academic mettle when he told the nosey press: "I'm attending a soccer match. If you want to talk to me make sure it is about my ministry and not anything else," he is quoted to have said.But Dokta Nchimbi should know that uttering fake doctorate degrees is a criminal offence. That does not affect his offices? Surely it does. He was busy watching ball.

Probably Dokta Mrisho Ngassa was in the game. He scored after he got a lovely ball from the skipper of Taifa Stars, Dokta Shadrak Nsajigwa. Come to think of it -- why do we love to attach titles to our names? It must be human vanity. You want to claim you are heavier than other humans. I attended a course on human psychology. The topic was 'The wars between officialdom versus the media.' I even teach the younger, easily intimidated writers who are new to the job. Officialdom loves to create 'atmosphere'. They will want to invite you to their air-conditioned offices, whose rent is paid by the taxpayers. Will make you wait unnecessarily. Then they will talk at you, instead of talking to you. Just refuse to be intimidated.

Just look at the pompous bureaucrat, then mentally strip him off his clothes and then infect him or her with a stab of diarrhoea and put him in the loo. Believe me you will feel much more relaxed. In the end they are just like the rest of us! We want to know -- just who are those fake doctorate degree holders in the Cabinet?
