Do you think that song is targeting local audience?? The answer is no. It seeks international forum, so a song with very few views but fetching more money than another with many viewers but no money. Have you ever known why Tanzanian artists end up poor??? Where is TID? Where is Mr Nice?? They sing pop songs that only hit for a few months and then people forget about it. Such song from Kenya, can be listened to by anyone in the world including the old the young, the British the canadians, sitting down enjoying a cup of tea.
Listen to that song, haina makeke, and that is what the rich people want, you will never find Diamond songs in places like Runda, Lovington, Hurlingham, Karen or westlands. But you will get it in clubs in Githurai, and such like places. The rich want to listen to the song, the words, not a video with borrowed cars. they want to sit down and listen to music.
