English learning thread

Jamani hapa ndiyo sehemu niliyo kuwa naitafuta saaaaana kwa nia ya kujifunza lugha hii. Naomba nijiunge dalasa moja na mama wawili, please i need your help.

Mama Wawili it has been a while since I last read your posts, I hope all is well with you.
 
There are several methods applied in learning/teaching languages. For example, here are just few: (1) natural method - "mama wawili," you learned your first language through it; (2) direct method - when you are an adult and a second language is taught the way you did learn the first language; (3) communicative method - new words are taught along with teaching aids without translation; (4) audio-lingual method - learning as you listen how words are pronounced; (5) grammar translation - learning rules that govern the grammar; and many other methods.

So, what method that you prefer "mama wawili" and is more applicable to you? Or need you the combination of various methods?

...........Ouh ooh, be blessed mama wawii for this thread. I have a bit different request but it falls within the same category of (interactive) language. I can speak relatively fluent english but i really like to have european or american accent. Street guys call it "yai". Is there anywhere I can learn this either theoretically or practically? Help pls
 

Watch a lot of movies,and interact with people who have the accent you want,talk to yourself behind a mirror,socialise,socialise,whenever u get a chance.good luck
 
love you mama wawili good effort love it, my self i can write and read and listening that language very well but speaking fluently is the problem bt thank god am doing good now

another best way to improve never worry about vocabularies once u face them just be a guest to ya dictionary
just learn like a child grown up in an English society,they dont lean voc until primary school
guess what wanasikiliza wazazi wanapoongea at yhe end booomb nao wanaongea very fluent utadhani wameenda darasani
learn to listen hasa english tv stations na radio and speak up

the only thing u can speak american or the accent as u call it is to be near them.
i have been there my dear they have a lot swag in there language u have u listen carefull to understand them and know the trick behind watch this

Thanks dear friend for the different ways/methods to apply when learning English you have shared. Method one and two are easy to apply but they didn't give the good results to me as you can see am still struggling. I am trying to use method 3(communicative method) by writing, talking and interacting with others who use English as means of communication but I think combination of all method is the best thing.
