And yet even the Tanzanian banks in Tanzania make so little profit to even talk about. Majority of your banks are not even making half what Equity is making in DRC.
The only Tanzanian bank to enter Kenya was put in receivership the other day.

Equity was founded several decades ago as a building society in my own village, owned 100% by my village mates.
The reason it has attracted foreign investment over the years is because of its success.
Why ain't Tanzanian companies attractive to investors? Is it because of the mediocre profits they make as a result of the LDC economy?
Foreign investors, who you are calling 'our masters' only invest in successful or potentially successful companies. Even at the NYSE, most companies are in the hands of foreigners, especially other countries sovereign wealth funds.

You are right, I know many villagers in Muranga and central region who own shares in Equity. Here’s a breakdown of ownership. Shareholders own 60% of the company

When is relative. It is still flourishing. Why - should be your question.
Equity became what it is because it made banking cheap. Anyone could afford without having to pay monthly fees, or maintain a certain minimum deposit, like the banks of the day were charging.
 
As much as I hate this article but I've never understood why are we serious professional failures in business. Sijawahi elewa nani katuroga , Kenya anafika DRC sisi majirani wa DRC hatuna hata kiwanda cha pipi huko
