A modern tuk tuk has arrived in Mombasa creating a stir following its peculiarity and improved features.
The owner of the three-wheeled motorcycle which is commonly referred to as tuk tuk has now attained celebrity status as everyone in the area wants to see and ride his new merchandise.
The driver plies the routes of the coastal city ferrying his passengers who he stated are very pleased by the highly improvised machine.
The new tuk tuk has four doors with adjustable windows, a fully fledged AC system that regulates the temperature.
"My customers cannot be rained on because it is fully closed, you simply roll up the windows and close the doors when the rain starts!" the excited owner exclaimed.
It also features a radiator with a 2-litre capacity coolant and has a leather interior decor that appeals to his clients.
Fuel consumption of the intriguing locomotive is relatively lower than the average tuk tuk as it stages a 150 cc engine compared to its old counterpart that is 200cc.
"My tuk tuk is top notch, it has permits to visit private areas. This means I can easily go to the State House with this tuk tuk" the owner claimed.
The local residents have branded the new model tuk tuk as "V8 tuk tuk" owing to its superiority over the old models that are not half as good as it is.
"I call upon the Uber administration to come so that we work together as my tuk tuk is more like any other normal car," he added.
It is the very first model of its kind to arrive in the nation and enterprenuers who want to acquire it are advised to do so sooner than later because its demand may cause the price to skyrocket.
