Finally the financial statement for ATCL has been seen.

Finally the financial statement for ATCL has been seen.

ICYMI, those are historical debts inherited by ATCL from the former national airline ATC. Most of the accrued debts are due to non payment to various local and international service providers. FYI, ATC used to own and operate a fleet of 1 plane while having a manpower headcount of more than 200 employees...

When JPM came into power he decided to restructure the modus of operandi and re-registerd the national airline as ATCL to give it a new impetus and a fresh start. One of the major change is that. ATCL does not own a fleet of its own but rather operate on lease basis a fleet owned by the Government Flight Agency, this is true for all the 11 shiny bird flying around and those still in order.

A good story to tell is that, for the first time now ATCL has managed to make significant profit, However, for it to break even, it must be able to clear all the historical debts inherited from ATC, it is a matter of time before this can be achieved.

How much does ATCL pay to lease from the 'government flight agency'?
If I would make a good guess. -- ZERO.

This is just some paper cover-up to prevent ATCL planes from being confiscated by creditors if it comes to that.

Also, ATCL has made ZERO profit. That should be very clear from the financial statement above.
Where did you read of a profit?

Even without the supposedly historical debts. Operational losses even when paying nothing for the planes bearing its name.

.... I can lease you my property for a symbolic 1 dollar, does that make sense to you.

ATCL's local market share is expanding by a significant magnitude, from a mere 2.5% in 2016 to around 40% last year and keep increasing, so the gross revenue...

Exactly. You've answered my question clearly. ATCL is not a real airline.
Real airlines have costs associated with buying or leasing, and not 1 dollar.

Despite not having any of the costs associated with the above, ATCL is still deep in losses.
That only tells you that if it had to buy or lease planes and pay up with its own revenues, losses would be 100 times more.

Also, having a big market share does not mean profit. The larger the operation, the more the running costs associated.

I have been wondering how come a functional organization has never released its financial statements, is it because of losses or are they making a lot of "profit" which they don't want "thieves" to know with fear that they may be stolen?. But yesterday my worries were sufficiently solved. The way our brothers from South were making noise about KQ you would think that ATCL was the most profitable airline in the world. Anyway neighbors, welcome to the reality of space business. To make matters so much fun is that they are making losses while operating local routes, I don't know what will happen when they begin daily international routes. Stop seeking comfort from some layman assumptions.

ATCL is an SOE there is nothing wrong for the state boostraping it through a fleet lease mechanism or direct capital injection, GoT chose the former. Does that make ATCL not a real airline to you?

Keep fantasizing with your wretched imaginations.

Still making losses.
How much more loses do you think it would make if it bought or leased its own planes like KQ and the rest?

All I see is a positive trend; 5 billion net revenue after tax in just one FY is a good performance, I would invest more in such a venture..

By the way I thought both of you were smarter thn that, why propagating cheap spin from an obscure politician who is struggling to score some mileage on each & every public document he stumbles upon?
