· Here and there: Serious food for thought: -
· 1) We did ask British High Commissioner Christian Turner a question or two in our posting for Wednesday, January 16, 2013; and we are not through with him yet!
· What does the busybody have to say about the fact that in an area (read the Rift Valley) where every sane human being knows involved the Kikuyu and the Kalenjin as the two chief protagonists, why did he meet with members from one side only (on January 15, 2013); why did he meet with Kalenjin elders, religious leaders, et cetera, and not a single person from the Kikuyu community?
· Was the idiot trying to mimic the disgraceful, dangerous, and murderous divide and rule strategies used by his British colonial beasts?
· Why has Turner and the other envoys, in Nairobi (Kenya) remained conspicuously silent even as Luo Nyanza goes through shocking violence;
· Would Turner and his intrusive friends have kept quiet if the same kind of madness happened in Uhuru Kenyatta’s TNA/The Daktari strongholds;
· Would Barack Obama have remained silent; would Hillary Rodman Clinton have remained silent; would David Cameron have remained silent;
· Would Angela Merkel have remained silent; would the European Union (EU) have remained silent;
· Would Europe’s Guantanamo Bay a.k.a. the Humiliating-Slaughterhouse alias the ICC or the Bloody bure kabisa kangaroo court have remained silent;
· Would the said Bloody bure kabisa’s Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda have remained silent in the face of what is happening in Luo Nyanza, had this been in Central Kenya;
· And would the shameless, slavish, gluttonous civil society mercenaries, conmen, moral urchins, miscreants, cretins, mutants, and prostitutes (both local and international) have kept studiously quiet had the dangerous nominations’ related violence happened in the strongholds of the Son of MAU MAU freedom fighters and MAU MAU detainees?
· Why are Kenyans, Kenya and the whole wide world being treated to this ridiculous silence;
· Why do all the above categories of hypocrites behave the way they always do towards the Kikuyu/GEMA communities;
· Why do they always exhibit (selective) pathological hatred towards the Kikuyu/GEMA communities and their leader Uhuru Kenyatta, et cetera? And don’t they know that selectivity is a form of impunity?
· 2) Mr. Kigeugeu was reported yapping, in Lower Eastern (read Ukambani) – on Sunday, January 20, 2013 – that Kenyans must make a choice between electing bees or flies, adding, “If you elect a group of bees you will get honey; but if you elect a group of flies, you will be led to the choo
· What has this Mr. Kigeugeu fellow achieved in the five (5) years he has been the co-principal of Son of Teresia, in the Grand Coalition Government, and the supervisor and coordinator of all government ministries;
· What leadership qualities has he exhibited, in the five (5) years he has been right at the centre of real power and leadership, quite apart from useless activism, childish populism, meaningless rhetoric, and primitive horse, panya, ngiri, punda, nyoka, adui, madoadoa, riddles and vitendawilis?
· Does he know what Kenyatta achieved through his Mwananchi Budgets? Does he know what Ruto achieved when he was Minister for Agriculture?
· Does he know what Ngilu has achieved as Minister for Water? Does he know what Balala achieved as Minister for Tourism?
· What has his running mate in the Marriage-of-Evil-Minds Minds a.k.a. the Coalition for Retirees and Desperadoes (CORD) alias Cord to Jehanamu achieved throughout his close to 30 years as a senior government minister, et cetera?
· So which team represents the flies to the choo and which represents bees towards honey? Good people, nobody can stop an idea whose time has come! 1 + 1 = 2!
· There will be no abracadabra in the March 4, 2013 General Election: Kenyans can never expect Mr. Kigeugeu and his team to metamorphose into performers or miracle workers, late in their political lives, and perform miracles if they have nothing tangible to show for all the years they have been in government; and electing them will be a one-way-ticket-to-the-choo!
· Kenyans must avoid the Marriage-of-Evil-Minds a.k.a. the Coalition for Retirees and Desperadoes (CORD) alias Cord to Jehanamu or one-way-ticket-to-the-choo like the plague!
· Kenyans must overwhelmingly vote for the Jubilee Coalition presidential and deputy presidential candidates Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto!
· 3) Let us now listen to an interesting piece inked by Sunday Nation writer/columnist Otieno Otieno (Sunday Nation, January, 2013). Otieno said: “Friday, January 18, 2013 is a day Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga may want to mark in his diary. It is the day Luo Nyanza woke up…
· National television beamed images of angry Karachuonyo youth tearing Mr. Odinga’s campaign posters and chanting pro-TNA-(Uhuru Kenyatta) slogans…
· A young man sensing that Mr. William Oduol, the people’s choice for Siaya County governor, might be short-changed, in the ODM nominations, in favour of Dr. Oburu Oginga, the PM’s elder brother, warned on TV: “If Raila lets us down, we shall let him down.”
· NTV reporter Larry Madowo, who has been covering the nominations in the county in the past three days, posted a telling tweet: “A mother just stopped me in Siaya town: ‘Bwana Larry, tell Raila Odinga that the fact that we’re poor does not mean we’re stupid.’”
· Politicians passing themselves as close allies of the PM’s were voted out amidst an angry wave of anti-Odinga sentiments across the land…
· To make sense of these events, one has to consider the fact that until recently the picture would be very different…
· The Siaya man would be worshipping Raila, the Karachuonyo crowd would be declaring its willingness to die for Raila, the Siaya mother would be singing Raila’s praises, and the politicians would only need to pass by a trading centre to deliver fake greetings from Raila to earn the party ticket!
· Chances are that the PM will publicly dismiss Friday’s events as another storm in a tea cup. But privately he’ll be hurting and asking himself how it came to this…
· Well, he won’t have to look further than himself and the people around him for an answer…
· The current rebellion is a culmination of a simmering resentment against an evolving Odinga hegemony and his patronising of Luo politics over the years…
· There is a growing perception that voters in Luo Nyanza don’t go to the polls to elect their leaders but to help Raila select his friends. It is not by accident that the ODM nominations were particularly flawed in the Luo Nyanza counties…
· The informal power wielded by Mrs. Ida Odinga, the PM’s wife, in ODM – Elna Ceausescu-style – has also alienated a section of party faithful…
· If the people had somehow come to tolerate the patronage as a small sacrifice for the party leader, their patience has lately worn thin in light of what they consider attempts by the Odingas to go for broke…
· Word on the street is that in this election alone, at least five members of the Odinga family intended to run for various seats in Nairobi, Siaya and Kisumu…
· For a man who partly owes his popularity to the notion that he is a political enigma, the PM’s high-profile role in the coalition government also served to remove the mystery…
· Even among his most ardent supporters, there have to be some who look at him and think of the scandals at his office discussed in Wikileaks and Miguna Miguna’s Peeling Back the Mask!” Well done, Otieno Otieno: You are spot on! NB: Otieno Otieno has, very aptly, compared Ida Anyango Odinga to former Romanian First Lady the late Elna Ceausescu, wife to former Romanian dictator the late Nicolae Ceausescu! Brilliant stuff! Nothing to add: Enough said! Everything is in black and white. Alluta Continua.

[h=1]The Odingas: Preaching Reforms and Justice While Stealing From the Poor! Lest You Forget![/h]Posted on January 18, 2013

· Posting first done on Thursday, July 19, 2012. Calmly, kindly, please jog your mind.
· “He (read Mr. Kigeugeu) and his father before him struggled against tremendous odds and government malfeance and interference to establish their family businesses,” Sarah Elderkin (Daily Nation, July 19, 2012).
· Let us go straight to the subject matter. Source(s): RELIABLE. Name(s): WITHHELD:
· “Under the guise of empowering the Luo Community economically in the 1940s, Adonijah Jaramogi Oginga Odinga incorporated a company called Luo Thrift and Trading Company. He proceeded to travel across East Africa collecting money from Luos who wished to buy shares in the company…
· A colossal sum was raised some of which was invested in large scale sugar plantations in the Nyanza Sugar Belt, posho mills in several market places in Nyanza, real estate in Kisumu Town and Maseno, among other properties which also included a printing press and a bilingual weekly newspaper called The Nyanza Times, not to mention a public transport company called Lolwe…
· No sooner had these commercial ventures been put in place than transparency left through the window. Under the stewardship of Jaramogi, Luo Thrift and Trading Company did not call any Annual General Meetings as stipulated in The Companies Act, nor did it declare or issue dividends to its shareholders…
· Progressively, the properties bought with the proceeds from the poor shareholders changed hands mysteriously and became personal property. Those who attempted to raise this issue in public or in private were harassed and intimidated into silence…
· Although they are usually the most vocal on matters touching on corruption on the national front, Luo MPs have lost both legitimacy and credibility in terms of protecting their electorate and addressing their legitimate aspirations, for economic progress;
· By keeping silent on the fate of properties one family appear to have stolen from poor Luos through Luo Thrift and Trading Company, including Ofafa Memorial Hall…
· By the time Odinga died on January 20, 1994, most, if not all, of the assets bought under the flagship of Luo Thrift and Trading Company had mysteriously reverted to private companies associated with him…
· Three years later, his son and scion of his business and political dynasty, Raila Amolo Odinga, commenced another collection spree, again from poor Luos; under the guise of empowering them economically by assisting them to buy shares in the then stalled Molasses Complex, in Kisumu…
· While millions of shillings which Raila collected from Luos disappeared mysteriously into thin air, 240 acres of land where the Molasses Plant, in Kisumu, stands was transferred to the Odinga Family Business around the time leading to the KANU/NDP merger, after the General Election of 1997. NB: The actual merger reached fruition in 2001…
· Subsequent queries about the money only yielded one consistent but misleading answer from Oburu Odinga, Raila’s elder brother, who is today the Assistant minister of Finance. Oburu kept on repeating that the money was safe in a bank account…
· He declined to state the amount in the said account, which bank it was kept in and how much interest it was earning, if at all…
· If the money had been collected to assist the contributors to buy shares in the Kisumu Molasses Plant, how did it end up in a mysterious bank account and what was it doing in that account?
· Over one decade has elapsed since that money was collected from Luos; but it seems as if it is still lying in the unknown bank where it appears to be destined to lie forever, while many contributors wallow in abject poverty…
· As members of the Luo community began to come to terms with the fact that they had been swindled out of the shares they had been promised and that the over Kshs. 100 million or so raised could have disappeared into the pockets of Raila Odinga and Company, it was reported from Paris, the capital of France, that the shares they had been promised had been sold to someone else!
· According to the respectable Indian Ocean Newsletter No. 1065 of November 22, 2005, a Canadian company called Diamond-Works teamed up with Raila Odinga by taking 55% stake in his firm, Spectre International for US Dollars 2 million which is an equivalent of Kshs. 170 million…
· It was reported at the time that part of the amount from Diamond-Works of Canada was to serve to pay Spectre’s debts as the company has allegedly borrowed money for the project. Who did they borrow from after collecting from the poor Luos?
· The whole story about the Kisumu Molasses Plant has not been told, but the Odingas will no longer remain in a position where they will continue to withhold the truth from Kenyans, in general, and the Luo community, in particular, about the mystery surrounding their acquisition of the Kisumu Molasses Plant with the connivance of “the late Moi-Nyayo-KANU regime!” Nothing to add: Enough said! Everything is in black and white. Alluta Continua.
