"Tanzania remains one of the most impoverished countries in the world. Approximately 67.9 percent of Tanzanians live below the poverty line" - Opportunity.org

Kenya life expectancy 67.3 yrs
Tanzania life expectancy 62.9 yrs
Without Tanzania, even your president would starve to death.
A child from a poor household in
Kenya is more likely to succeed than a child
from a wealthy household from Tanzania or
Uganda. Tanzania exhibits the worst
performance among the three East African
countries. Kenya also ranks on top in terms
of enrollment of students in higher
education, followed by Uganda and then
Tanzania. In 2012, Kenya enacted the
Universities Act, which is aimed at
improving the quality of education at all
levels by promoting separation of
governance of universities and other
tertiary institutions and strengthening its
technical sector by separating it from the
university sector. The Global
Competitiveness Index (GCI) 2013-2014
ranks Kenya 44th in quality of education
out of 148 countries. By comparison,
Rwanda ranks 51st, Uganda 82nd, Tanzania
100th, and Burundi 143rd.

"With Kenya being a richer country than Tanzania, Kenya’s travel infrastructure is better and more reliable. They have more hotels and guesthouses, it is easier to exchange foreign money to shillings as all major banks can do so, and public transportation is ample. You can easily find taxis, matatus, trains and even domestic flights that could take you to almost anywhere in the country. " - goshenisafaris.com

As I said till the land , we will buy your raw products. Then we will process it and add value and sell it to you for a higher price. We are way past the basic food items, we do more of high value crops and import low value crops from you guys.

The irony of exporting food while your own population is malnourished, anyway we will not refuse to buy. An excerpt from
borgen magazine.

"SEATTLE — Tanzania is one of the least-developed countries in the world, and though the poverty rate is slowly decreasing, a significant amount of its citizens remain impoverished. In 2012, 12 million Tanzanians lived in poverty, about 70 percent of the population. One out of seven of those living in poverty lived in extreme poverty, surviving on the equivalent of less than $1.25 a day.

About 34 percent of Tanzanians live below the basic needs poverty line, meaning they lack the minimum resources that people need to be physically healthy. There have been small improvements since 2012, but poverty is still an obvious issue. So what are the causes of poverty in Tanzania?

Many of the causes are unfortunately all too familiar in discussions of poverty around the world. Poor access to and knowledge about healthcare, insufficient nutrition due to food insecurity, and a lack of education all play a role in Tanzania’s poverty. However, other factors cause poverty in Tanzania as well, including problems with agriculture and a high rural population."
