100 billion shillings to electrify the whole line to Malaba. Thats not alot. But... But if electrifying from msa to nbo is just 25 billion. IDK why 75 billion will be used for the rest of the line which is more or less the same distance.
Remember there are people dying daily, no water in Nairobi, National debts keep ballooning, no jobs. Why electrification is so important now?

that still means a modification to fit into 1 m gauge railway plus speed limitation! They will be forced to operate at 50 km/h!

My friend, am sorry to burst your bubble but Tanzania factors nowhere in Kenya's decision making! We have our own plans and deadlines to meet. Some o3of this things were planned waaay back under Kenya's vision 2030. I mean, Tz doesn't even have a functioning SGR! Wake up!

Actually its not that difficult...the only problem is the cost...it will be so expensive
and that will mean a disruption of the current service plus weIght increase for each engine converted into electrical driven mode.
