Germany has extended a grant of 176 million Euros (about 380bn/-) to Tanzania. The funds will cover three years and are the largest amount Germany has ever committed to support Tanzania in its development endeavours.
The Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs, Dr Wiliam Mgimwa, and the German Ambassador to Tanzania, Mr Klaus-Peter Grandes, signed the bilateral grant agreement in Dar es Salaam.
In line with that, the German Government will also extend a grant contribution of 18 million Euros (28bn/-) to support immunization programmes in Tanzania.
