partially you are right but partially you are wrong. Am a luo, i come from a political family of the late MP and speaker of the national assembly job amino. i am amongst the people who did not vote coz things in the country don't add up and due to some family reasons . i grew up seeng akina hon, raila, olago, anyang nyongo, Hon, khaniri visiting my uncle in the late 1990s in Mililani kisumu when he was still an MP. if i could vote i wouldn't vote for the man from my tribe but i would vote for anyone... for instance i prefered Ruto for his enthusiasm contrary to most of my friends.( is this tribalism). what happens is that the common kenyan is enlightened but not that much about the life of politicians who are great friends. for instance, back then Hon olago and my uncle could contest for one elective position leave their supporters fighting while they come and dring in the house in Mililani. most of the life of Kenyan politicians life are sorted out ( this is what kenyans dont get) . for instance, if you if you look at the retirement benefits of uhuru, raila, rigathi and ruto..it is a huge sum of money which even most kenyans will never earn in their entire life working their day jobs. it suggests that the common kenyan should vote but still go back to hustle hard coz no politician will come for your rescue. Tribalism aside, i think Dr. WSR is the right man at the helm of the goverment. thanks to devolution, all regions are developing using allocations instead of focusing of the goverment. Tribalism may only occur during election time.. which is normal even in Europe but the president is fror all kenyans, rules apply for all kenyans, budget applies for all kenyans.. so the person who becomes the president creates no difference.
