Thabeet has 3 bodyguards? For what? All the autograph hounds? The paparazzi? All the ladies since he's a 7 ft goon that looks like a retarded Mutumbo. Dude is a joke. I wonder if his bodyguards ride on the greyhound with him and his D-League teammates to Southpark when they play the Roughriders.

i watched this kid play for uconn ,every game that was televised or that i went to, he was terrible and quite over rated. calhoun wanted him to stay another year get bigger,stronger and learn how to play, he came over because he was tall,not because he was any good.emeka okafur was a big guy for uconn too but he has basketball skills,he was bigger stronger and got all out of college basketball and education that he could and was time to move on. this kid clearly went for the money,he will be playing oversees in a few years because he clearly isnt nba starter material. being out in a club is his right, but you have to also be smart, i hope he learns really quick people will be out to get you, esp if your 7'3 and stand out.

Grizzlies' Thabeet didn't knock out R&B singer

Hasheem Thabeet was out at a club last weekend with his three bodyguards and some kind of scuffle happened in another part of the place. He supposedly was removed from the club but then got to hear later that not only was he supposedly involved in the little tiff, he had apparently knocked out R&B singer T.I.D.
Thabeet's agent is saying that his client was in a private part of the club when the fight broke out and had absolutely nothing to do with it, according to Fox TV in Memphis.
The agent is thinking that T.I.D. wanted some publicity and some extra airtime on the radio.

Thabeet's Agent Denies Fight Took Place

The agent for Memphis Grizzlies center Hasheem Thabeet has told the team that an alleged incident involving Thabeet and R&B singer T.I.D never took place.
FOX13 Sports Director Matt Stark spoke with Ugo Udezue, Thabeet's agent, by phone Tuesday night, and Mr. Udezue said the allegations that Hasheem had knocked out the singer were completely false.
Udezue acknowledged that Thabeet was in a nightclub last weekend when an altercation broke out, but that the Grizzlies center was in a private section of the club and being protected by three bodyguards at the time, which is the norm for Thabeet when staying in Tanzania. Udezue says his client was immediately removed from the club, and was stunned later to hear the allegations that he had been involved.
Udezue said he believes the singer made the story up as a publicity stunt, and to get his music played on the radio.
