An airport first and foremost serves its people.
Kenya gets about 2 million tourists, but JKIA has over 7 million passengers.

You are really a stupid Kenyan as usual, do you think major user airport are tourists?, hahahaha, tourists comprise less than 20% users of Airports. Business people and are the one who travel most, and they make big percentage of travellers who pass through airports.

Do not change the topic, the fact is, JNIA is the biggest, modern and high tech airport in East, Central and Southern Africa, apart from Bole and OT Airports, hahahaha, Hahahaha.

That's a very short sighted analysis by Sauti Sol .(and shortsighted Tzedians too i might add)

Hii terminal imejengwa for 7m passengers capacity yet current utilization is only 2.8m passengers meaning highly inefficient use of $resource$. Kwa hivyo inamaanisha hawa jamaa Sauti Sol na nyie waTzed are just wowed by "just for show" stuff instead of substance.Hizi ndio fikra za maskini.

"it mainly serves foreigners not citizens" ...kwa hivyo unakubali Tz uchumi wenyu umekaliwa na foreigners and the few Arabs and Indians there.

Terminal haijengiwi kwa ajili ya watu wa mda huo huo lazima ikae kipind flan kisha ijengewe au kuongezwa ...so myb after 10yrs-15yrs to come ..govt can think of a new terminal

It is for International Depatures and Arrivals just like Terminal 1E and 1A of jKIA ...terminal 2 refurbishment will start and it will look good

Don't mix between capacity and what was served. Pikipiki has the capacity of only two people, but because of poverty we do carry between three to four people, the same happens to buses in poor countries.

The capacity of JNIA is 8M while that of JKIA is only 6M, but because of poverty, JKIA serves between 7 to 8M, that is not something to celebrate or feel proud, GoK needs to come up with solution, the way we Tanzanians did to build new terminal with bigger capacity to meet the demand.
