Mauro Tassotti has signed a contract for one more year which will see him bring 37 consecutive years at Milan.

Tassotti arrived to Milan from Lazio in 1980 at the age of 20 and simply hasn’t left since.

After playing in the red and black of Milan for 17 years, Mauro went on to become a coach in the youth sector before getting promoted to first-team assistant coach in 2001, working alongside Carlo Ancelotti, Leonardo, Max Allegri, Clarence Seedorf and Filippo Inzaghi.
Tassotti, however, won’t be part of Sinisa Mihajlovic’s coaching staff but is not leaving Milan.

As reported by Gazzetta, the 55-year-old has signed a contract extension with Milan until 2017 and will have a new role. Tassotti will follow and monitor the Milan players around the world on loan

Mauro has in fact been at Milan consecutively longer than anyone. Ramaccioni (33 years), Galliani (29), Braida (27), Baresi (25, he left for 90 days in 2002), Maldini (24) & Gandini (22) are behind him.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has not given up on re-signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic during the current transfer window.

AC Milan are eyeing highly rated Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte to improve their faltering defence.

Former AC Milan assistant coach Mauro Tassotti has signed on to remain with the Rossoneri as a scout after what looked like an exit from the club earlier this summer.

Palermo are considering the idea of signing former AC Milan forward Giampaolo Pazzini on a free transfer.

AC Milan’s president Silvio Berlusconi has expressed a thought about seeing Stephan El Shaarawy play as a midfielder.

Barcelona have completed a
€41 million deal to bring
Atletico Madrid star Arda
Turan to Camp Nou this
summer.
The Turkey international confirmed earlier this
summer that he would not be extending his stay
with the 2014 Liga champions and had been linked
with a number of Europe's top clubs.
However, Barca emerged as clear favourites for his
signature in recent days and have now confirmed his
arrival for an initial fee of €34m, with €7m to come
by way of add-ons.

Presidential candidate Josep Maria Bartomeu had
made it clear he planned to bring the versatile
winger to Camp Nou should he win this month's
election , claiming head coach Luis Enrique asked for
his signing.
However, Barca retain the option of selling the player
back to Atletico before July 20 should the new
president, set to be elected on July 18, not wish to
sanction his arrival.
