Ibrahimovic to Milan is almost done. He should join the team’s training on their return to Milanello on December 30. 6-month contract with an option for an additional year

Ivan Gazidis believes AC Milan are currently two major sponsors short of most other big football clubs, according to a report.
The 55-year-old has been at Milan for over a year now, having left Arsenal in September 2018 before officially beginning his role as CEO of the Rossoneri on December 1 of that year.

Gazidis has a marketing background and worked in a role as a Chief Executive with the Gunners too, and was brought to Milan in order to try and help the club move into the new era of football finance, especially from a sponsorship point of view.
According to Tuesday’s edition of La Repubblica though – as cited by MilanNews.it – Gazidis is not happy with where the club is currently at on that front.

The newspaper claims that he explained to Milan employees that a large football club must have three major sponsors in as many sectors; namely insurance, cars and airlines.
He is quoted as saying: “At the moment we only have Emirates,” – a contract which expires on 30 June 2020, MilanNews.it claims.

AC Milan have hardened their stance on Lucas Paqueta, a report claims, amid speculation Leonardo and Paris Saint-Germain will try and sign him.

Following Sunday’s 5-0 loss to Atalanta, Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that PSG have concrete interest in Paqueta, with talks already underway between the two clubs over a potential deal.

Fabrizio Romano then reported that Paqueta is not opposed to the move, with the Rossoneri having set an asking price of €35m, before MilanNews24 touted the idea of a swap deal involving Julian Draxler.

According to an update il Giornale though – as cited by MilanNews.it – Milan have decided to toughen their stance on the idea of letting the Brazilian leave due to one key reason.

The paper claims that the Rossoneri leadership see the advances of PSG sporting director Leonardo as an attempt to exploit the misfortunes of his former club and try to get a discount in the process.

Milan will not come to the negotiating without an offer around the almost €40m (€38.4m) they paid to Flamengo in January, the report claims.

About winter mercato according to:

Milannews.it:

- PSG will try to get Lucas Paqueta in January.

- in January Rossoneri will try to buy Nemanja Matić and Granit Xhaka.

- Yesterday there were contacts on the Napoli-agent line Ricardo Rodriguez. The Azzurrich team would like to rent a Swiss with purchase option. Fenerbahce also thinks about the 27-year-old.

La Gazzetta dello Sport:

- Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban contacted Zlatan Ibrahimovic directly. In the last hours he approached the Rossonery team. The offer of the Il Diavolo team remains unchanged: contract for 6 months with the option of extension for another 12 months. The answer from the 38-year-old should appear in the coming hours. If everything goes according to Il Diavolo, Ibra should be in Milanello on December 30. About 3 weeks would be needed to prepare the Swede for the game.

- Milan would like Jean Clair Todibo to start training with the team from December 30. Rossoneri reached agreement with FC Barcelona on the transfer formula. Now the club with via Aldo Rossi must set the terms of an individual contract with a 19-year-old.

- Genoa is working on the transfer of Fabio Borini.

Sportmediaset:

Within 48 hours, Zlatan Ibrahimović should determine his future. Taking into account all the bonuses, thanks to the contract for 1.5 years, the Swede could earn 10 million euros net. Milan would like the 38-year-old to start working with the band from December 30. That is the day the team returns to training.

Two investment groups are interested in buying Milan.

The first is the Arnault family, which manages the LVMH group. It owns over 70 luxury fashion brands such as Christian Dior, Bulgari, Fendi, Givenchy, Kenzo, Loro Piana and Louis Vuitton. The assets of the group owner, Bernard Arnault, are valued at around 72 billion dollars.

Elliott has already had the opportunity to talk to representatives of the Arnault family and presented her the design of the futuristic district around the new stadium modeled on the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The French have so far proposed 900-950 million euros for Milan.

The Americans would like to earn 1.2 billion euros on the Italian club. This valuation results, among others from the costs already invested in the club with via Aldo Rossi, 625 million euros (300 million for a loan for Yonghong Li and 325 million for the costs of maintaining the team and repayment of all debts).

At the moment, talks between the parties are suspended, which results from the clarification of the case related to the construction of a new stadium for Milan and Inter.

The second group is Hines Interests Limited Partnership, which operates in the real estate industry. It is managed by Gerald Hines, whose assets are valued at 26 billion dollars. This group would be of fundamental importance in the construction of the new stadium and the complex around the new sports facility for Rossoneri.

Both Alessio Romagnoli and Mateo Musacchio were booked against Atalanta and received the 4th booking in the Serie A, consequently entering into a warning. If they receive another yellow, they will be suspended for a match.

Milan are incredibly keen on 17-year-old Swiss defender Becir Omeragic, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com today.

The report details how the Rossoneri appreciate the defensive qualities of the FC Zurich centre back and think he may be a good investment for the future. He is contracted to the Swiss club until 2021.

However, the operation is likely to be postponed until next summer, to allow the Rossoneri to focus more on more pressing transfers in the upcoming January transfer window.

AC Milan are ready to renew their interest in Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson in the January window, a report claims.

The Rossoneri eventually signed Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic to reinforce the midfield this summer, but Sanson was one of the names they were linked with.

French outlet Le10sport.com (via Calciomercato.com) stated in August stated that, Milan – along with Serie A rivals Napoli – were interested in the 25-year-old.

According to the same outlet – as cited by Calciomercato.com – Sanson has once again emerged as a potential market objective for the Diavolo as they look to bolster a midfield which has struggled so far this season.

Sanson has made 18 Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille so far this season, registering three goals and two assists in the process.

Meanwhile, Allezpaillade are reporting that Marseille have received an offer of €30million from an unnamed English club for Sanson, who has a contract which runs until 2022.

Everything is all set for Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return to AC Milan, a report claims, with the two parties now very close to an agreement.

MilanNews.it offered yet another update on the situation on Wednesday by claiming that the Swede is closing in on a return to the club.

According to La Repubblica, the deal is almost complete and the 38-year-old forward is expected to return to Milanello when training resumes after the Christmas break on December 30th.

This comes despite links with Napoli and Everton, and also after news filtered out of Casa Milan suggesting there was pessimism surrounding Ibrahimovic and his response to Milan’s offer.

The striker does not seem willing to retire, as he had been mentioned, but rather he will accept the proposal of Boban and Maldini, endorsed by CEO Ivan Gazidis.

It would be a six-month contract, expiring in June 2020, with the extension clause for another year, linked to the number of goals he scored between now and the end of the season.

Interviewed exclusively by @MilanNewsit Carlo Pellegatti commented on Pioli's statements regarding the "bad week" prior to #AtalantaMilan: "I was very surprised by this statement, since he had always said that he would leave the players not concentrated on the bench.

This game, for me, remains an unfathomable mystery: with the exception of Donnarumma, all 13 movement players have offered a performance from 4 to 5 on the report card.

I would like to ask Pioli if maybe it was badly set in terms of physical preparation or something else.

AC Milan suffered throughout the game and when they didn’t suffer it is because Atalanta stopped, wrong passes, little clarity, legs and head that were not working".

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC REJOINS AC MILAN

The Swedish striker has agreed on a deal with the Club: "I'm coming back and will do my best to change the course of this season"

AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Club and the striker have agreed on a deal until the end of the current season with an option to extend the contract for the next one.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, born in Malmö (Sweden) on October 3, 1981, returns to AC Milan where he played a leading role in the Club's history. The striker played for AC Milan in the two season 2010/11 and 2011/12 recording 85 appearances, 56 goals and significantly contributing to the achievement of the 18th Scudetto and the Italian Super Cup.

Zlatan’s extraordinary career began with Malmö Fotbollförening. He then moved to play with AFC Ajax, Juventus FC, FC Internazionale, FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, Manchester United and Los Angeles Galaxy, recording a total of 788 appearances and 473 goals.

Among the various individual awards, Ibrahimovic has been top scorer five times (twice in Serie A) and has won 11 editions of the "Guldbollen", the prize given to the best Swedish footballer. In Serie A he has been named the League's best player three times and best foreign player five times.

Zlatan's first words as a Rossonero player were: "I'm coming back to a Club I hugely respect and to the city of Milan I love. I’ll fight together with my teammates to change the course of this season. I will do everything to make it happen".

The deal is subject to medical and all regulatory processes. Ibrahimovic will be in Milan on January 2, 2020 to take his medical and he will then join his teammates for his first training session. As soon as the deal is official, a press conference will be set and aired live both on “Milan TV” and the Club’s Official App.
#IZBACK!

Former AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino has backed Zlatan Ibrahimovic to succeed if he returns, and has also urged the club to sign Nemanja Matic.

A number of different outlets are reporting that the 38-year-old has said yes to another spell at San Siro, with details of Ibrahimovic’s contract have been revealed by a couple of different reporters.
The reliable Gianluca Di Marzio also added that there are continuous contacts and an uninterrupted effort to sort the very last details of Ibrahimovic’s contract, which will be a six-month contract with a renewal option linked to certain conditions.

Now, his former team-mate Antonio Nocerino has given his thoughts on the reunion, insisting it is the right decision by the Rossoneri.
“Ibrahimovic? We talked but I swear that we didn’t talk about the market, those choices are too personal,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport .

“But one thing I can guarantee is if Zlatan accepted Milan’s offer, it’s because he believes in the challenge of relaunching such a young group. He will make them competitive, you will see, to try to return to Europe and forward in the Coppa Italia.
“Whoever sees him arrive will remember what it means to be at Milan. They have to roll up their sleeves and raise the level and Ibra will make it immediate.

“I don’t understand the doubts of some fans. For a Champion like him age is just a number. Mentally and athletically he’s fine, and he comes from a very physical league like MLS. It will take him only a few weeks to return to the top. There are no Maldini’s and Cannavaro’s in Serie A defences anymore.

“I don’t know how many goals he will score, but he will score and he’ll make them score. He will solve the problems of the attack.
“What will he bring? Competitiveness, even in training. Zlatan is furious even if he loses a training match. Personally, and it will be a good test for his team-mates, because if you don’t have enough character then you can’t play with him. And quality, he is a champion who can improve the performance of the whole group.

“With Zlatan there are no compatibility issues, the important thing is that he has good people around him who swoop come without the ball. The game system is decided by the coach but for me it’s all very clear: first you give a shirt to Ibra, then you adjust the rest.”

Nocerino also discussed the other possible mercato objectives such as Jean-Clair Todibo, before urging the club to sign Manchester United outcast Nemanja Matic for the midfield.
“It’s ok to invest in talented and young players, but right now we need ready, experienced players. Players like Matic I would take
