AC Milan lose striker to Russian club for bargain fee
Posted on July 10, 2020 by Rossonero

AC Milan transfer target Adolfo Gaich will end up in Russa with San Lorenzo having accept an offer for the Argentine talent.
Adolfo Gaich’s future may not be in Serie A or La Liga after all. There is strong pressing from Russia to snatch the striker who has been followed for a long time by AC Milan and Inter.

According to reports by Tyc Sports (via MilanLive.it), San Lorenzo have accepted a 8.5 million euros offer made by CSKA Moscow for Gaich plus 20% of a future resale.

CSKA Moscow have offered Gaich a four-year contract. The Argentine striker has refused to renew his expiring contract in one year thus San Lorenzo have no option but to sell their gem or else they risk losing him for free next summer.

A new experience in Russia can help the 21-year-old show off his talent before a possible new transfer to another major league. According to reports from Argentina, everything is completed between CSKA and San Lorenzo.

A very disappointing news for the Rossoneri who are about to lose one of their targets for the attack for a very low fee. Despite being in contact with his agent for the past year, AC Milan would have preferred to wait until the end of the season and getting Rangnick’s approval before making a bid.

Hakan Calhanoglu has admitted that while he ‘loves’ playing for Milan, the time has come for him to ‘make a decision’ on his career.
Calhanoglu recently helped Milan beat Juventus 4-2 and he believes the side have finally turned a corner.
“It feels very good [to beat Juventus]. We played against Juventus who are a very strong team,” he told Goal.com.

“After the 2-0, we never gave up and we tried to do something on the pitch. We created a lot of chances.
“After the penalty that Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] scored, the confidence came back to us. It’s an amazing feeling, we are so happy and the atmosphere is so incredible now.
“We also played well in the Coppa Italia against them but it was difficult with one less player.
“With 10, you have to run more and defend more. That game was in our mind during the league match and it showed in the way we played.
“This is what we missed in the past because against the big teams, we didn’t win too much. Now we’ve beaten Roma, Lazio and now Juventus with Napoli next.”
After several false dawns, the midfielder is now showing why the Rossoneri spent over 20m to sign him from Bayer Leverkusen in 2017.
“I’m three years here but since I’ve been here, things are always changing. I’ve already trained with four coaches and new directors, the stability is not like it was before in Milan.
“Everybody tries to do the best for Milan but something is missing. As players we can only look at what we can do on the pitch.
“I’m hopeful that we can bring Milan back to what it was before. Let’s not forget that I didn’t play for six months when I first arrived at Milan.
“It was very difficult for me to come back. I was in a bad condition physically. Arriving at a big club like Milan, people are expectant of me because they know me from Leverkusen.
“The first year I didn’t show it like I wanted. The second year I was playing better day by day and when Gattuso arrived, he gave me big energy and pushed me a lot.
“Physically I was very good with him. Sometimes he let me play in my role but tactically he was not like Pioli, he’s more defensive style.
“With Pioli we play aggressive and always offensive, that is better for me. So my best year as the people say, is this year. That is true.”
On the flip side, the Turk has entered the final year of his current contract...
“Milan are great and remain as such, they’re an incredible club. Everyone knows that.
“They’re different to Leverkusen, which is a small club but always plays in the Champions League.
“I came to Milan with all my heart and I want to play in the Champions League with the Rossoneri. That’s where the club must be.
“I think the time has come to make a decision and make it well because next season is the last [of my current contract].
“Now I have seven games ahead of me. I’ve started well since the coronavirus pandemic and I want to keep going like this, then we’ll see what happens in the future.
“I have to make a decision with my agent. I love Milan and it’s fantastic for me to wear the No 10 because I know the great players who wore it before me.”

After defeating Juventus 4-2 in a thrilling showdown at the San Siro, AC Milan are preparing for the upcoming Serie A matchup against Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo. Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli was present at Milanello on the eve of the match for his regular press conference to speak about the important clash.

“More goals after the lockdown? It was the number that was our biggest problem. There was no lack of opportunities but the ability to concretize them. We have been more precise, better in choices and with more quality in the conclusions,” Pioli told Milannews.it.

The former Inter Milan and Fiorentina coach went on to speak about the positive moment of Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer in the last couple of matches, with the midfield duo guaranteeing much more stability in contrast to the pre-lockdown period. Moreover, he also elaborated on Rafael Leao’s current positive moment.

“The midfield is a very important department and the performances of Kessie and Bennacer are of excellent level. They are giving us excellent performances,” Pioli noted.

“Leao? The talent is certainly there. But it must be cultivated and trained. I am very happy with what he is doing. He is making an important contribution to the team. I keep saying that the number of minutes is not important, rather the quality displayed during these minutes.

“If he continues this way, he will bring many satisfactions. The time will soon come for him to play from the beginning.”

Pioli also spoke about the somewhat negative beginning of his Milan tenure, commented on the matchup against Napoli and also addressed the comparisons of his Serie A standings to that of last year under Gennaro Gattuso’s management.

“It is useless to look back, we have not had the continuity. It takes time to build something important, from a technical, tactical and character point of view. We have to finish the championship well, there are still many points and many games to be played,” he said.

“Napoli are a great team with a great coach. We have to perform well, we have the qualities. We have to play with awareness, we must take advantage of this moment and give our best.

“Comparisons with last year? It is difficult to make comparisons. Rino had started the season from the beginning. He did an excellent job as he is doing at Napoli. He has the ability to make his team play well and to give the right mentality. The accounts will be made at the end of the season and there is still much to do.”

Finally, the Rossoneri coach spoke about the duel with Roma for a Europa League spot, his own future as well as the future of the club and the fine performances of January arrival Alexis Saelemaekers.

“We are still seventh in the standings and we would not be happy to end up like this. We must try to reach those ahead of us. We must improve our ranking,” Pioli added.

“A rewarding moment? Only the final evaluations at the end of the championship will count. I know that we have worked hard and that I have a group of players who want to do well. This must accompany us until the end, then we will make concrete evaluations of what we have done.

OFFICIAL Suso is a Sevilla player

Milan had an agreement with Sevilla for the transfer of Suso. 18-month loan with an option to buy around 20/24 million euros, which would become mandatory if Sevilla qualified for the Champions League https://t.co/RGnsUdEV90

AC Milan have completed their first summer sale with Spanish winger Jesus Suso joining Sevilla on a permanent transfer.
Sevilla have officially qualified for the Champions League. Villarreal’s defeat against Real Sociedad allows the Andalusian team to celebrate the qualification two rounds before the end of the La Liga.

Sevilla’s participation in Champions League next season is also a good news for AC Milan because a place in the top four forces Sevilla to sign Jesus Suso on a permanent transfer. That was the condition required to trigger the automatic purchase of the Spanish winger.

Sevilla will pay €21 million for Suso, in addition to the 4 million for his loan, thus bringing the total figure to 25 million. For Milan this represents a full capital gain, given that Suso was signed from Liverpool for less that 1 million in 2014.

Thee 26-year-old Spanish right winger was part of AC Milan for nearly six season. He made 153 appearances with the Rossoneri scoring 24 goals and providing 36 assists. Nevertheless, the Spanish winger failed to become a key player at San Siro eventually losing his starting spot under Stefano Pioli.

The injection of fresh money from the sale of Suso allows AC Milan to move in advance for their primary transfer target. The 25 million fee is exactly what Red Bull Salzburg ask to sell Dominik Szoboszlai to the Rossoneri.

rafael leao

AC Milan According to news from Spain, the meeting of Rafael Leao’s agent, Jorge Mendes, with Atletico Madrid was quite positive.
After a very difficult start to his career at AC Milan, Rafael Leao is finally beginning to contribute for the squad. Although he has yet to break into the first team of the Rossoneri, his last three goals have been crucial to the European hopes of the Red and Blacks.

So far the Portuguese striker has found the back of the net on five occasions in Serie A, including the match against Juventus. Nevertheless, the future of the 21-year-old remains in doubt.

While Leao seems to finally be showcasing his talent, his agent has been offering his services to different clubs. It was recently revealed that Jorge Mendes had met with Wolverhampton, Juventus and Atletico Madrid. And according to rumors in Spain, Atletico are quite interested in Leao.

TodoFichajes reports that positive talks were held between Jorge Mendes and Atletico Madrid. The Colchoneros are looking for new signings in attack and Leao is a tempting name.

AC Milan spent 25 million last summer to snatch Rafael Leao from Lille. The versatile youngster has often played as centre forward but his favorite position is that of left winger.
