AC Milan confident to overcome Juve for Real Madrid star
Posted on November 10, 2020 by Rossonero

AC Milan are challenging Juventus for Real Madrid midfielder Isco. The Spanish star is expected to leave Los Blancos in January.
The January transfer window is getting closer and closer. AC Milan lead the Serie A and there is great desire from the management to strengthen the team to try and maintain a high position in the standings. The clubs usually tend to avoid spending a lot in January but there are always good deals to be made and even this time there is no shortage of opportunities.

Once again AC Milan are looking at Real Madrid for new signings. After Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz, Paolo Maldini is considering the purchase of Isco Alarcon from Los Blanco.

According to Todofichajes, AC Milan are challenging Juventus for the services of Isco convinced they can could overcome their Serie A rivals Juventus. Former AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti is also interested in bringing Isco to Everton.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane no longer relies on the Spanish midfielder and has practically excluded the Spanish midfielder from the starting eleven. The player himself has admitted he doesn’t understand the coach’s behavior towards him.

The farewell of Isco from Real Madrid is just a matter of time and AC Milan are trying to exploit this chance. The Spanish attacking midfielder would be perfect for Stefano Pioli’s team. In AC Milan’s 4-2-3-1, Isco would play behind the striker thus taking the place of Hakan Calhanoglu. The relation between AC Milan and Real Madrid is great and when the two club will sit down to solve the future of Brahim Diaz, Isco will also be on the menu.

Leonardo addresses Icardi to AC Milan rumors
Posted on November 10, 2020 by Rossonero

PSG sporting director Leonardo comments the recent rumors linking Argentine striker Mauro Icardi with a move to AC Milan.
In the last few days the name of Mauro Icardi has been linked with a potential move to AC Milan. According to rumors, the Argentine forward is eager to return to Italy and would love to join the Rossoneri.

Former AC Milan sporting director Leonardo, now currently at PSG, answered some questions on the future of the French club’s stars and the name of Icardi popped up.

“We signed on loan a player who has scored 25 goals per season. We observed him well and decided to confirm his stay on a permanent transfer. Everyone at the club agreed. We had an option for 70 million and we managed to get a discount“. At the end of last season PSG signed Icardi from Inter for a fee of 50 million euros.

“Just because a player is injured doesn’t mean he won’t be important in the next 5 years. And he has already been important throughout the last season, even if he played less in the Champions League Final-8“.

The permanence of the former Inter star at PSG has been put in doubt. The 27-year-old striker feels nostalgic of Italy. He is currently sidelined because of a knee injury and in the meantime Moise Kean is exploiting this opportunity to shine.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has picked out legendary AC Milan manager Arrigo Sacchi as the man who changed the game of football forever.

Sacchi managed the Rossoneri from 1987 until 1991, and again for a second spell in 1996-97, winning eight trophies and bringing the concept of ‘Total Football’ – typically a Dutch concept – to Italy.

His teams were known for playing a highly attacking 4-4-2 formation, as well as zonal marking and the offside trap, and a number of players really hit their stride under the man owner Silvio Berlusconi had hand picked.

We recently wrote a feature about the magic touch that Sacchi had and his innovative way of playing football and the new methods that he introduced to Italy and Europe.

It shocked everyone in the press as Sacchi had no great prior experience as a player or a coach, to which he famously retorted: “I never knew to be a jockey you needed to be a horse.”

Now, Klopp has once again expressed his admiration for Sacchi and admitted that he is influenced by the great Milan sides of the past that the former shoe salesman coached.

“Sacchi completely changed how we think about football. He is one of the most influential coaches in the history of the game and a complete game-changer for me,” he told The Telegraph.

“Because of him we had to judge the size of the pitch in a new way. I am sure you remember playing with man-marking tactics where you pretty much followed the opponent you were marking to the toilet. The pitch always felt incredibly big. Nobody played a high line because many teams played the libero.

“Before him I was told who to mark and that was it. Too often the team with the better individuals won the game because it was all one-versus-one challenges all over the pitch, so if the other player was better than you, how could you win? Sacchi’s organisation made it completely different.

“I did not learn it from Sacchi, but it was my manager at Mainz, Wolfgang Frank, who brought it to us, which meant as a player I watched five hundred videos of AC Milan.

“I saw how whenever Franco Baresi raised his arms to play offside, everyone else in the team was waiting. Ball orientated defending became a real tool, and of course on top of that Milan were a sensational team with Ruud Gullit, Marco van Basten and Baresi. They were some of the best players ever.”

Brahim Diaz: “I have a great relationship with Ibrahimovic, he always gives me good advice and I get along quite well with him on and off the pitch. I'm enjoying myself. At Real Madrid I was very well, with great teammates, but now I'm showing my football and showing what I can give. Ibrahimovic is at the age of my father but we already see what he is doing, he continues to make a difference. In football age does not count, it doesn’t matter if you are old or young.”

AC Milan considering sensational move for Inter star
Posted on November 11, 2020 by Rossonero

Inter star Christian Eriksen could make a sensational move to AC Milan in January for a figure of 12 million euros, a report claims.
Inter and AC Milan could go back to doing business. According to reports by Libero Quotidiano, Christian Eriksen could continue his career in Milano but with the Red and Black side.

It is no secret that Inter coach Antonio Conte does not like the Denmark star at all. The former Tottenham, who arrived in Italy last January, is struggling o lot for space at the Nerazzurri and Antonio Conte seems to have lost his patience.

Inter spent more than 20 million euros to sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham but it has become obvious that, as long as Conte runs the club, the 28-year-old attacking midfielder will be a peripheral figure of the squad. The player himself recently declared that he has no intention of spending any more time on the bench. Thus a move away from Inter seems the ideal option for both parties.

Libero Quotidiano writes that Eriksen could make a sensational move to AC Milan in January. The Rossoneri could be forced to sign a new attacking midfielder considering that renewal talks with Hakan Calhanoglu have not produced any progress so far with the Turkey international determined to become one of the club’s highest earners.

The 28-year-old Dane in the Rossoneri would find his compatriot Simon Kjaer. According to Libero Quotidiano, Inter are willing to sell their midfielder for at least 12 million euros. The obstacle for AC Milan seems to be represented by the high salary of Eriksen who earns 7.5 million euros per season.

📰 @86_longo on Instagram: Hakan's priority is AC Milan. The initial request of 5M€ per year is deemed high. There will be a meeting with Hakan's agent soon. The Turkish player realises that his request is too high for Milan. https://t.co/Gz4kgIVFJY

📰 @86_longo on Instagram: Milan would like to strike another transfer deal like Rafael Leao regarding Marcus Thuram. He's a great talent for a reasonable price. But, there is competition with Manchester City https://t.co/yDe8ZiDMSA

📰Gazzetta: AC Milan want to be big again and quickly but without bleeding itself into senseless operations especially during this time of COVID-19. The strategy is signing young players that would have sustainable wages with a future that promises to be bright. https://t.co/B1uWI662jO

MERCATO NEWS
GdS: Midfielder’s market value rises to €15m – Milan emerge as most likely destination
By Oliver Fisher - 10 November 2020, 12:39
AC Milan are keeping a close eye on the development of Tommaso Pobega during his loan at Spezia, according to a report.

Fabrizio Romano recently reported for Calciomercato.com how the initial idea of the management was to keep Pobega in Stefano Pioli’s squad, but then Sandro Tonali arrived to make the department even stronger and so the decision to let him leave on loan was made.

The choice was to give Pobega a new deal and send him on loan with an option to buy to Spezia, and Milan actually have a buy-back option built into Pobega’s loan deal so if he impresses he can be brought back to base.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.it), Pobega has impressed a lot thus far during his loan at Spezia and has already netted two goals, including one against Juventus.

There is certainly no shortage of admirers, the paper adds, and there is already talk of a market value of €15million. Despite this, the most likely destination for next year remains a return to Milanello.
