🚨 @Santi_J_FM: AC Milan still likes Tiemoue Bakayoko and the Rossoneri have initiated contact with Tiemoue Bakayoko's agent. Atletico Madrid is also said to be interested in the French midfielder. https://t.co/jck40O04bU

AC Milan fans have been urged to stay calm by journalist Antonio Vitiello amid concerns over the club’s perceived lack of spending.
In a tweet, Vitiello of MilanNews responded to a fan who was questioning the fact that Sandro Tonali and Fikayo Tomori have not been made permanent deals yet, Hakan Calhanoglu’s renewal is not sorted, while Alessio Romagnoli’s future remains uncertain too.

He also mentions that Davide Calabria and Franck Kessie’s contracts – expiring in 2022 – are on the list of things to do as is the signing of Olivier Giroud, another striker, one or two midfielders, a winger and potentially even more.
Vitiello’s reply: “Tomori already done 10 days ago, signed Maignan. Milan are the only team that have already spent 40 million. Are the other big Italians moving? Zero. The market is long. Keep Calm.”
The figures he is referring to is from the €27-28m it will take to turn Tomori’s loan from Chelsea into a permanent transfer as per the pre-agreed option to buy as well as the fee for Maignan which is believed to be around €13m as per most major sources.

📰 @86_longo: Milan offers €5M to Toulouse for Amine Adli with bonuses to reach at least €7M. A response from the French club is expected but there is cautious optimism. https://t.co/JH0zQskuKS

📰@tuttosport: Milan should extend Franck #Kessie's contract as quickly as possible, in order to avoid another Donnarumma case. At the moment, the Ivorian midfielder earn 2.2M per year.

AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has set some lofty targets ahead of next season, revealing his belief that the team can challenge for and even win the Scudetto.

The Englishman became Milan’s second summer signing after Mike Maignan as a statement on the club’s official website announced that the Rossoneri have exercised the option to make the initial loan move a permanent deal.

Tomori spoke to Milan’s official Twitch channel to discuss his move while currently away on his summer holiday, with his comments transcribed by MilanNews beginning with his arrival at the club.

“Since I talked to Maldini and Massara that expectations would be high, so I should have done my best. Everyone helped me, since I arrived here I understood that I would only have the opportunity to be the owner if I had given my all,” he said.

Tomori was also asked about his own personal aspirations and those of the team heading into next season, given that the 2020-21 campaign was one that saw the team finally secure a return to the Champions League.

“We arrived in the Champions League and we are happy, we want to give continuity to this thing. But we are at Milan, we have to fight for the trophies,” Tomori added.

“We finished the season in second place, now we want to see if we can close the gap and try to win the league. We will try to have a good Champions League. We came close to winning the Scudetto, now we will try to do it. We also want to make a good run in the Italian Cup

Paolo Scaroni for 'La Politica nel pallone':

About Donnarumma:

In Milan, we set a wage limit for players. Everyone can do what they want. We offered Donnarumma an important offer, but that wasn't enough to keep him. I read somewhere that after so many years in Milan, Gigio wanted to get out of the comfort zone. He always showed the right level in our colors. Milan found the perfect solution in his place and Donnarumma will go to a big club so everything is fine.

About Calhanoglu:

We made him an offer that we thought was appropriate. If he found a solution thanks to which he can earn more, it's his private business.

About the goals:

We didn't expect promotion to the Champions League this season, so it's a positive surprise for us. For us, the Champions League is essential. We have 430 million fans around the world that we can reach if we play in the Champions League. We always try to be in the Champions League. We want to be promoted as far as possible next season. We have to keep our spirit and style.

About the stadium:

Today's football needs stadiums different from those of 50-60 years ago. I do not understand why there are those who do not agree to the construction of new stadiums. Our rivals who regularly play in the Champions League earn more than 100 million euros, while our revenues do not exceed 40 million euros. How are we to compete with such clubs?

About Brahim Diaz:

I am not responsible for technical matters. This is what you should ask Gazidis and Maldini about.

About the Elliott Fund:

Promotion to the Champions League accelerates our plans by one year. Thanks to this, our financial situation also improves. We must cultivate passion among those who follow Milan in the world. Fans watch the Champions League more than Serie A.

About next season:

Scudetto is not in our financial plans for the next season. We want to be a team that plays in the Champions League regularly and always tries to make a good impression. The beginning of the new season is getting closer. Soon everything will start all over again.

📰 Corriere Dello Sport: Optimism is growing on the Milanese side for the agreement of Amine Adli with Toulouse. The player could be a wildcard in various offensive roles. Milan wants the player and they are already on the right track. https://t.co/lPkidKblda
