AC Milan are reportedly interested in bringing Real Madrid’s Isco on loan to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in this January transfer window.

Isco ain't going nowhere. Hizo zitabaki kuwa rumors tu ila haondoki

AC Milan will attempt to cut their wage bill in the January transfer window to help raise funds for new signings.

After Milan’s summer spending spree which saw the club sign the likes of Carlos Bacca and Andrea Bertolacci, the Rossoneri must reach the Champions League next season to balance the books.

However, the Diavolo currently find themselves seven points off third-place and as a result are looking to improve their squad in the transfer window.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, to fund these new signings Milan will look to sell goalkeeper Diego Lopez, defender Rodrigo Ely, Philippe Mexes, Cristian Zapata and midfielder Antonio Nocerino.

Ideally, the club would also like to let go of midfielder Nigel De Jong and possibly winger Alessio Cerci, if the right bid comes in for the Italian.

A leaky defence has cost Milan all too often this season. Milan are keen on Joel Matip and Martin Caceres as solutions.

Whilst a number of names have been mentioned in passing, Milan seem especially interested in procuring Schalke 's central defender Joel Matip and
Juventus's Martin Caceres. Matip is out of a contract at the end of the season and appears unlikely to sign a new deal in the meantime. The Cameroonian has established himself as a key player in Andre Breitenreiter's side and would be available at a low cost, given his contract situation and Milan's somewhat meagre budget.

Jesús Joaquín Fernández Sáenz de la Torre, better known as Suso, joined Milan from Liverpool Jan. 17, 2015. He made his debut 10 days later in the quarterfinals of Coppa Italia, replacing
Michelangelo Albertazzi for the last 10 minutes of a 1-0 home defeat against Lazio .

Suso's Serie A debut did not happen until April 4, when he entered to play alongside Gianpaolo Pazzini in the 77th minute of a 2-1 win away at
Palermo .

Fast forward to July 8. Suso had rarely played, making only six official appearances for Milan. Besides a brace against Reggiana in a friendly, Suso was unable to showcase his talent. Despite his limited amount of playing time, he remained optimistic and said the following in July:

"The support-striker is where I feel most at ease, I have played in that position for a long time throughout my career. I have also played on the right but I have always considered myself a number 10.

(This) is a chance to prove to the coach that I can play in this team, I can be a regular. I want to show what I can do, then the coach will decide."
Following Filippo Inzaghi's footsteps, Sinisa Mihajlovic did not take advantage of the underrated Spaniard.

Suso’s dynamic long shot and effortless dribbling, coupled with his hard working attitude should have propelled him to a starting position.

Instead of this, Suso continued to rot on the bench under Mihajlovic. At the beginning of December, his agent Jaime Serra threatened his departure.

"Evidently Mihajlovic believes in other players more and is more ready to play them and it's the decision of the coach. Evaluations? At the end of December.

If the situation is still the present one then we'll take a departure under consideration.
"For now though, we haven't discussed it. At the moment, nothing has been decided."

Prior to Milan's game against
Frosinone, a report claimed the 22 year old would join Genoa on a six-month loan with the option to renew the deal in the summer window. That was confirmed by both Mihajlovic and Galliani.

From Galliani:
"For Suso we already have an agreement with Genoa, if also the player will find an agreement, he will start to train with them right after Christmas."

Mihajlovic was more direct.
"Suso is already at Genoa"

Suso officially joined Genoa Monday.
Is this kind of occurrence new? Unfortunately, not for Milan. A talented young prospect joins, rarely plays, and then leaves for a loan deal that turns into a "forever deal."
Riccardo Saponara, anyone?
It will only be a matter of time before another young prospect is loaned out because of a limited amount of playing time. Unfortunately, it seems Jose Mauri may be next.

“Real men always pick themselves up after being knocked down,” Miha said. “We closed out the match with our heads held high. Apart from a shaky first 10 minutes, in which we also have to thank Donnarumma, we controlled proceedings in the first half and in the second half we dominated

Romagnoli? He didn’t start off well, but then got into his stride. It needs to be remembered that he is only 20 and it’s not always going to be plain sailing. Boateng? He came off the bench and did well. He hasn’t missed a single training session in 6 months and he deserved a contract with us. He showed he has character, strength and technique. He can play in all roles in attack. I hope he keeps it up.

“We have always created but not always capitalized on those chances. But I look beyond the result. If I see a side that is compact and creates chances, then that leaves me optimistic. By keeping this up, better times will come. I know it’s not easy and we had a tough start. But after the Napoli defeat, we had a good run before the loss to Bologna which still hurts. Let’s take things one game at a time.

“There are still 19 league games to go and there is time to turn things around.” Milan’s next match is on Wednesday evening as they face Carpi in the Coppa Italia quarter final.
