*Higuain “substituted because he wants to play against Juve.”*

AC Milan star Gonzalo Higuain picked up a back injury against Udinese yesterday but according to Tuttosport, the Argentinean decided to be substituted in the first half yesterday night because he doesn't want to miss the upcoming Serie A clash against his former club Juventus.

The Old Lady and the Rossoneri will meet at the San Siro on Sunday night and Higuain doesn't want to miss the game against his former team-mates. The Turin-based paper reports Higuain's substitution in the 36th minute of Udinese-AC Milan was precautional and that the Argentinean is likely to face his ex-club next weekend.

According to Sky Sport, Higuain's physical conditions will be evaluated in the next 48 hours.

France Football claim that Arsene Wenger has an agreement to replace Gattuso as Milan coach. Wenger has been negotiating with Milan for weeks and would have wide capacity in the sporting area with Leonardo. The move has been plotted by Paul and Gordon Singer

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be set for a sensational move back to one of his former clubs.
American sources had tipped Zlatan to rejoin
Manchester United last month - but that was only on a short-term loan from LA Galaxy.
Now Italian sources report that AC Milan is a more likely destination for the irrepressible Swede - and on a permanent deal.
Tuttosport say Milan want him on a six-month deal to help their push towards the Champions League places.
They currently sit in fifth place - three points behind Lazio in that elusive fourth spot

OFFICIAL: Milan will face Juventus for the Italian Super Cup on January 16 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Zlatan Ibrahimovic reiterates that Adriano Galliani forced him out of Milan, despite promising “we won’t sell you”.
The Swedish striker joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2012, but has made it clear he never wanted to leave the Rossoneri.
Later this month Ibra releases his new book ‘I Am Football’, and in a preview he recounts the story of his move to France.
“Galliani told me: ‘don’t worry Zlatan, we won’t sell you’,” Ibrahimovic recalls.
“A few weeks later I was at my house in Vaxholm, I’d just been out jet skiing when I saw I had five missed calls from Mino [Raiola, his agent].
“‘OK, Leonardo will call you’ Mino said. Leonardo? Leonardo who? Then suddenly I realised: he was talking about Leonardo, the PSG sporting director.
“I said to Mino: ‘I won’t answer his call, Galliani confirmed to me that he won’t sell me’. Then Mino simply told me: ‘I know, but they’ve sold you already’.
“When I spoke to Mino that summer I told him we’d make it difficult for PSG. I wanted to keep my Milan salary and I wanted them to say something like: ‘dude, you’re exaggerating, you’re asking for too much’.
“I wanted to use that for them to pull out. So I told Mino to write down everything I wanted. I listed all my wishes and when I was finished I told Helena [his wife] that they’d never accept that, it was impossible.
“Just 20 minutes later though, Mino called me and said: ‘you’ve got everything you asked for’. After that there was no turning back.
“I told him: ‘OK, get everything ready’. I’m a man of my word, when I say I’m going to do something I do it.”
*Not Galliani's fault but Berlusconi*

The Portuguese striker has been a success in La Liga following his temporary move, but admits he would still rather have remained at the San Siro

AC Milan forward Andre Silva insists he would rather be playing in Serie A, despite scoring seven goals in 14 appearances across all competitions for Sevilla this season.
The 23-year-old was sent out on loan to the Spanish outfit for a year during the last transfer window, after an unsuccessful first season in Italian football.
The Portugal international signed for Milan from FC Porto in 2017, but only managed to score eight goals in 36 appearances during his debut campaign and failed to hold down a regular place in the starting XI.
Silva's form in La Liga has been much better and he has played a vital role for Los Hispalenses over the last three months, helping them to secure a place in the top three, just four points behind league leaders Barcelona.
Despite his recent success, the Milan starlet has confessed that he never wanted to leave the San Siro in the first place and still hopes to become one of the best strikers in Europe in the future.
"I am working to become the best striker in the World", Andre Silva told Portuguese paper A Bola."I didn't want to leave AC Milan, I wanted to play. I wanted to have opportunities and be the André that I always was.
"But I definitely needed more game time. I had many options but in the end, I said yes to Sevilla. Now I am here and I feel I've done the best possible choice."
Silva also offered insight into how working with Cristiano Ronaldo at international level has helped him to improve his overall game.
"Training and playing with him is different. I can say that he is someone who transmits even more motivation to his teammates, he makes me want more," Silva continued.
"Since I trained and played with him, I felt there was a lot more room to grow."
The former Porto man will be back in action for Sevilla in the Europa League on Thursday against Akhisar in Turkey, while Milan are also on European duty on the same night against Real Betis in Spain.

Suso would naturally demand an increase in wages to remove the release clause in his contract. A solution could be a bigger release clause compared to the current €38M clause, but Leonardo and Maldini are pushing for an elimination of the release clause. The sporting judge has suspended Andrea Conti for 3 games with the explanation of:

"Having approached the referee in his dressing room at the end of the match, he prevented the referee to close the door, then punched the door twice with his fists and insulted the referee."

Write your reply... Bonaventura did not train either today and is expected to miss the game against Real Betis along with Higuain. Calhanoglu will be available for the game against Betis. [MilanNews]
