Sacchi to TMW Radio: "None of us had ever dreamed of becoming the greatest side of all time. This is a hope for everyone, I was a Mr. Nobody who loved football. In my Milan no player played for himself, even the big ones. I treated everyone equally.

Both AC Milan and Real Madrid are in a rebuilding phase and while the Spanish side has already spent close to €300m, they now need to sell.

Enter Milan. According to Di Marzio, Milan’s new leadership is set to meet with Los Blancos, with discussions over midfielder Dani Ceballos possible.

Milan have been linked with the talented player in the past and this summer may be the time they finally jump. Another potential name is Marcos Llorente.

Llorente is a defensive midfielder and could replace the departing Bakayoko. He has interest from multiple clubs, as does Ceballos but the Rossoneri are confident their project can sway either player.

Di Marzio went on to say the entirety of the Milan management will travel to Madrid tomorrow. It is possible the meeting is simply to introduce the new management to Madrid but the focus is on the midfield and Ceballos is a hot name.

Ceballos is expected to leave Real Madrid after being told by boss Zinedine Zidane he is not in his plans for next season.

Ceballos apparently had a meeting with the Frenchman this week, in which he told him: “No problem, boss. I didn’t want to carry on working with you, either.”

Suso was expected to leave with the arrival of Giampaolo and his 4-3-1-2 system. The Spanish winger has been heavily linked away but recently Giampaolo stated he would like to reinvent the player.

After his agent was at Casa Milan yesterday, he was reaffirmed to stay at the club, barring the activation of his release clause. The player’s will is believed to be staying but it is yet to be seen how he will perform in the new system.

Milan will most like use the 4-3-1-2 system Giampaolo is known for which would isolate any wingers on the team. Suso is expected to be tried either as a trequartista now or a second striker.

Suso did have his break out season at Genoa playing behind the strikers so the role is not entirely new to him. As a support striker with Piatek he could in theory add width to a formation devoid of it.

Agent Alessandro Lucci has frequently been at Casa Milan this week. His clients are Suso and Calabria, and now it looks like we’ve gotten the answer to all the visits:

CalcioMercato’s reporter Daniele Longo, who has proven himself to be credible and reliable before, reports that Milan have reached an agreement for a new deal with right back Davide Calabria.

A new deal for Calabria has been on the agenda for a while now, and it looks like the saga now may be concluded. Lucci has been at Casa Milan three times in eight days, with some time probably spent to clarify Suso’s status on top of the contract negotiations for Calabria.

Any specifics when it comes to the player’s salary is not mentioned as of now, but knowing the Italian media, it will soon be common knowledge.

Davide Calabria’s soon to be previous deal was running until June of 2022.

AC Milan have been heavily linked to former Giampaolo talisman and current Arsenal star, Lucas Torreira. The player has admitted he misses Italy and playing in England has been difficult for him.

He has also shown interest in a reunion with Marco Giampaolo at Milan but his price tag is the issue. According to Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira, Unai Emery refuses to lose the player.

Arsenal view the player as nontransferable and value him at around €50 million. Milan most likely cannot meet this asking price and will turn their attention to one of the many other midfield targets.

Giampaolo was quoted as saying the player was his “dream” signing but the signs now point towards the dream not becoming a reality. Other midfield targets include Jordan Veretout from Fioretina, who has interests from Roma and Stefano Sensi of Sassuolo who has an agreement with Inter already in place.

*Kessie could be on his way out of Milan. He does not exactly fit Giampaolo's system and Milan will look for €25-30m to make a small profit. He could alternatively be used as a counterpart in a potential deal like for example Lucas Torreira.*

Elliott is thinking more seriously about the transfer of Lucas Torreira to Milan. Arsenal wants 35-40 million pounds for the player.

- Andre Silva will return to Milan and Giampaolo will try to play him alongside Piatek.

- Suso will also stay as at the moment he is in Giampaolo's plans and could be deployed either as a second striker or a trequartista.

AC Milan are one of six teams in the race to sign Stade Rennais midfielder Benjamin Bourigeaud, a report claims.

New Rossoneri boss Marco Giampaolo plays with three central midfielders and an attacking midfielder, and reinforcements in those departments are said to be a key objective for the new leadership.

Links with the likes of Lucas Torreira, Jordan Veretout and Stefano Sensi have already been prevalent since the end of the season, but now a new name has emerged.

Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo claims that Milan are joined by Inter, Atalanta, Roma, and Napoli in the race for Bourigeaud.

LaLiga side Sevilla have also been credited with interest in the former France U20 international, who is valued at €20m by the Ligue 1 club.

The 25-year-old joined Rennes from RC Lens two years ago for a fee of just €3.5m, and managed six goals and five assists in 34 league appearances last term.

The British press have also linked European champions Liverpool with a move.

Lucas Torreira reportedly wants to be reunited with Marco Giampaolo at #ACMilan, but #Arsenal will not sell the midfielder without a fight

According to #Sky, Patrick Cutrone is transferable and this has also been reiterated to his entourage.
It doesn’t mean he’s on the market and that he will leave for sure, but if an offer of at least 25 million euros is received, it will be taken into consideration.

Reports of AC Milan making a bid for Lucas Torreira has got some Arsenal fans talking.

The Uruguay international only joined the Gunners in a £26m deal from Sampdoria last summer, but talk of him returning to Serie A after just one season in England simply refuses to go away.

And following Milan's decision to appoint his former boss at La Samp in Marco Giampaolo, rumours of a reunion have intensified over the weekend.

Furthermore, comments from the midfielder's agent, Pablo Bentancur, are unlikely to sit well amongst the Arsenal faithful as he stated it would be 'special' if Giampoalo contacted Torreira - although he also stated that he was not aware of Milan's interest.

"I know nothing of AC Milan's interest. I only heard about it in the press. No one contacted me," he told CalcioMercato.

"Would Giampaolo's call be something special for Lucas? Yes, clearly."

Now according to Italian outlet Sport Mediaset, Milan have made a two-year loan offer for Torreira worth £7m and including a £34m purchase option.

Given the 23-year-old showed glimpses of quality in his debut season at the club, it's understandable that supporters are keen to keep hold of him and most haven't reacted well to news of this cheeky bid.

A lot of the anger has been directed at Ivan Gazidis who is the Chief Executive at the Italian giants after his departure from the Emirates Stadium in late 2018.

Despite offers from abroad, Daniele De Rossi has decided to stay in Italy after officially leaving Roma. In fact, several clubs are interested in his services, including AC Milan.

Sky Italia reports that despite his links with Roma, having only played for the Giallorossi his entire career, De Rossi believes that the fans won’t be upset as it wasn’t his decision to leave in the first leave.

Milan, meanwhile, are looking for an experienced player that can help guide the young players of the squad. De Rossi, therefore, is believed to be the perfect fit for the Rossoneri, who have made an offer to the player.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the former Roma captain has been offered one year as a player with Milan, while for the future he would take up the role as a technical collaborator.

The Rossoneri’s new sporting director Massarra (formerly of Roma) and new manager Giampaolo are both in favour of the deal, and so the ball is in De Rossi’s court.

According to #Sportmediaset Milan is working to match the offer of Bayer Leverkusen for Theo Hernandez, a 20 million euro offer.
Paolo Maldini is ready to offer him a starting shirt to convince the Real Madrid fullback. These are decisive hours for the French player.
