Dinamo Zagreb coach Nenad Bjelica said that Olmo won’t play Dinamo’s friendly against FC Slovacko tomorrow

“We all know a transfer is being discussed, though we don’t know where & when he will go. But we don’t want to risk anything from the club’s side.”

AC Milan are meeting with the Agent of Basel’s defender Omar Alderete, according to a report from Skyitalia.
The report says that Milan are hoping to sign Alderete in the summer transfer window but want to reach an early agreement with his entourage before another club can hijack the deal.

Andy Bara to Sportske Novosti on reportedly wanting €7m in commissions from Dani Olmo's transfer: "[Laughs] Is this because Dani is wearing the #7 shirt at Dinamo? OK… now he's going to wear #10 at the new club and then I'll be looking for €10m [laughs]…" Meytar Zeevi on Twitter

Carlo Ancelotti’s new club Everton are in search of a new centre forward and have turned their attention to AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek.

With less than two weeks until the end of the January transfer window AC Milan need to speed up and reinforce Pioli’s squad. Despite the continuous movements of Boban and Maldini, talks with several targets have hit stalemate.

The reason is simple, the Rossoneri don’t have the financial means to purchase new players otherwise they risk breaching again the Financial Fair Play. AC Milan need to sell, and quickly, as clubs are reluctant to make transfer business in the very last days of the market.

Lucas Paqueta, Jesus Suso and Krzysztof Piatek are the three players AC Milan have put on the market. Perhaps a helping hand can arrive from England with former AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti in search of a new striker.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Everton have joined the race to sign AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek. Ancelotti is looking to bolster his forward line after striker Cenk Tosun was allowed to join Crystal Palace on loan this month.

The Polish centre forward has many suitors in England with Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and Newcastle United also making inquiries. So far AC Milan have rejected every loan offer and will let Piatek leave only on a permanent transfer for a fee of at least €30 million.

AC Milan could rival Manchester United for the signing of Atletico Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente, according to reports.

We reported earlier on Monday that while the Rossoneri hierarchy are focusing on selling players for the time being, there is still an eye towards more potential signings.

Vito Angele told us that one of the positions that the club are looking to strengthen is central midfield, as the switch to a 4-4-2 system has left the likes of Lucas Paqueta with an uncertain future.

According tocalciomercatonews.com, Zvominir Boban and Paolo Maldini could go shopping in Madrid – this time on the red side of the city.

Marcos Llorente has failed to establish himself firmly in the plans of Diego Simeone, having made just three starts all season for Los Rojiblancos.

The 24-year-old could push to leave Atletico this month in order to play continuously, the report adds, and the LaLiga side could accept a sale with the formula of a loan with option to buy set at €25million.

Sportsmole recently reported that Manchester United are eyeing a £51m (€60m) move for Llorente as a possible alternative to Bruno Fernandes.

Regarding incoming transfers Boban and Maldini are extremely active, and will be until the end of the market #Olmo is not dead and there is a solid chance to see him playing at the San Siro. AC is also on the hunt for a central midfielder and a centre back.

Theo Hernandez’ agent Manuel Garcia Quilon has reassured Milan fans that the left-back will “stay where he is”.

Last summer, the French defender moved from Real Madrid to San Siro for €20m and his value has more than doubled with his impressive performances at the Rossoneri.

The 22-year-old has scored five goals and provided two assists in his 16 Serie A games for Milan and his progress has made him a possible target for the top clubs in Europe.

Now, his agent Garcia Quilon has moved to reassure the Diavolo faithful that his client is not contemplating on a move away from the fashion capital.

“He will stay where he is,” he told Corriere della Sera. “Milan is the right place for him, Theo needs to grow and now he is in the ideal team to do so.”

Ahead of Friday’s clash with Brescia, AC Milan continued their preparation work at Milanello today after the win against Udinese.
Paolo Maldini, Zvonimir Boban and Frederic Massara were present to watch the training.

As revealed by AC Milan’s official website, the team was divided into two groups after the muscle activation in the gym: one for aerobic work and one for technical work. The latter also played a game at the end with a reduced pitch.

According to MilanNews.it, a few players were missing: David Calabria, Mateo Musacchio and Hakan Calhanoglu. All three carried out individual work as a result of their respective injuries, hoping to get back into action soon.

They will continue to be monitored in the coming days as the game against Brescia is just three days away.
Hopefully, the Rossoneri can grab their fourth consecutive win in all competitions, getting closer to the Champions League zone.

AC Milan need two signings to aim for Europe

Posted on January 20, 2020 by Rossonero

With European qualification finally withing reach AC Milan need a helping hand from the transfer market to make quality lead forward.

European qualification is no longer a mirage for AC Milan with the Rossoneri only 2 points behind the sixth place Cagliari. Stefano Pioli’s team is recovering and the Serie A schedule of the next two games (Brescia and Hellas Verona) can facilitate their rise. Then there will be the derby against Inter.

AC Milan secured three consecutive victories (a rare feat these days) against Cagliari, Spal and Udinese with convincing performances on the pitch. However, it is too early to get excited and think that the problems of the first half of the season are solved or almost. Obviously through work this group still has good room for improvement and at Milanello the players must give 100% every day. Nevertheless, the squad needs a helping hand from the transfer market.

Milan would need two signings to significantly improve their level in Stefano Pioli’s 4-4-2 formation: a central midfielder and a left winger. If two quality players were to arrive the team would make a considerable leap forward.

Next to Ismael Bennacer, Milan need a better central midfielder than Franck Kessie and Rade Krunic. Too many times the former Empoli seems to carry the wight of the department on his own. He would need more support from his partner. The ideal would be to sign a physically gifted midfielder, similar to Tiemoue Bakayoko let’s say.

Another necessary purchase is a left winger who can replace Hakan Calhanoglu and Giacomo Bonaventura, who are ineffective in the role. Milan needs a fast footballer there, who can dribble, create numerical superiority and make a contribution in terms of assists. Dani Olmo would be the perfect signing. Rebic did great against Udinese but after half a season on the bench that’s hardly enough.

If the club manages to make some sales, something will probably be done to improve the team. With some reinforcements, Mr. Pioli will be able to aim for European qualification with fewer problems. With less that two weeks available until the end of the January transfer window, AC Milan need to move fast even though financial aspects have restricted Maldini and Boban.

Milan have made contact with Roma about the possibility of signing winger Cengiz Under. Milan are in the market for a new winger, as Spanish international Suso has fallen out of favour with coach Stefano Pioli.

Milan director Zvonimir Boban has, according to Calciomercato.com, initiated contacts with Roma about the possibility of signing Under.

Under hasn’t hit the same heights in the capital since his first season in Italy, and has hardly played for the Giallorossi this season. Under would suit Pioli’s new 4-4-2 system, and could also play in a 4-3-3, should they need to switch formations.
