Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta is reportedly against the idea of joining Fiorentina as he is holding out for a bigger club.

Paqueta is understood to be Fiorentina’s preferred target for the middle of the park this summer.

However, Tuttomercatoweb warns he is unconvinced by the move, instead favouring a ‘high-level challenge’ elsewhere.


The website explains that could lie in Spain or Portugal, with Valencia and Benfica both showing an interest.

On the other hand, the track leading him to Paris Saint-Germain is considered ‘not hot’ as relations between Leonardo and Ivan Gazidis are at an ‘all-time low’.

The 22-year-old is said to not be in any rush to leave the Rossoneri, who would sell if they receive a bid of ’€25-30m’.
 
With regards to the possible arrival of Ralf Rangnick to Milan, Paolo Di Canio, former AC Milan striker, told Sky: "I don't understand why Milan must pray for a coach like Rangnick to come. He is a good coach, but he does not have a great past. For the size of this club, I don't understand this. Either they see incredible qualities in him or I find this situation absurd
 
Andrea Conti recently reported thigh muscle fatigue. If the situation does not improve, Italian can start the match against Juventus (probable date: 12th of June) from the bench.

AC Milan have made a decision regarding the future of forward Rafael Leao after a difficult season so far, according to a report.

The Portugal U20 international has the objective of leading the line for Milan in the short term – due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s injury – after a disappointing campaign thus far, but in the medium term he wants to become a permanent fixture in the starting XI.


Milan invested a substantial amount to prise Leao from Lille and therefore the expectations towards the striker are rightly quite high.

According to Tuesday’s paper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as cited by Calciomercato.com), Milan have decided not to sell Leao this summer even if offers arrive.

That is because prospective new manager Ralf Rangnick is keen on working with the former Sporting CP starlet as he is an attacker who is of the mould that the German likes to use.

Leao tends to try and get behind the lines and attack spaces, something Rangnick appreciates from his centre-forward, and the air of unpredictability is also a welcome trait given the technical quality he has already displayed.
