AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has identified his number one defensive target ahead of the summer transfer window, a report claims.
It is no secret that the Rossoneri are in the market for a long-term partner for captain Alessio Romagnoli, and Milenkovic is a name who continues to be linked.
According to Tuttosport on Sunday (via MilanNews), the future of Mateo Musacchio is increasingly uncertain, as well as the position of Leo Duarte, who has not fully convinced, while evaluations must also be made on Gabbia.
In short, Milan need at least one reinforcement and the man top of the list is Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina, a player that Pioli knows well having coached him in Florence.
La Viola are asking for €30million, and the two parties have already spoken about the player during a meeting held at the beginning of the week.
His agent Fali Ramadani was present, and Milan and Fiorentina will meet again at the end of the season. Milenkovic could be part of a larger operation, which also involves Rebic.
There are also other profiles under consideration. Milan also like Wesley Fofana of Saint-Etienne and Jean-Claire Todibo of Barcelona, who should return to Spain.
