Massara spoke with Kabak's agents. Schalke 04 has lowered their demands to €20M in order to let the Turkish defender leave.
Maldini doesn't want to go beyond €15M. Kabak is the first choice for Milan in front of Lovato of Verona and Simakan of Strasbourg. [Daniele Longo]

Fabrizio Romano: Manchester City is looking to sign a midfielder in the summer. AC Milan's Bennacer is an option but their main target is Denis Zakaria from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Bennacer spoke to Goal: "Why the Premier League didn't work for me there? I was 17, I stayed in a hotel, because I didn’t want to go and live with a family I didn’t know. I was not of age and I couldn’t live alone, so my sister came to stay with me."

"In September, I finally see the pitch. In the League Cup, against Sheffield: Chamberlain gets hurt, Walcott gets in his place and after two minutes he gets hurt too, so Wenger throws me in. He put a lot of space on the left of the front 3, it's a role I never played."

"I felt a lot of pressure on me, I lost few balls but I also recovered some. After that, I haven't played anymore, but I have no regrets: I trained with important players like Özil and Cazorla."

"I still had 4 years left in my contract. But, I went where I was really wanted. I didn't know Empoli, but I accepted to go down from the Premier League to the Italian Serie B because Empoli was the club that wanted me the most."

"I chose AC Milan because of the club's history but above all, because their project was the best for me."

📰@MilanNewsit: Samu Castillejo is now better. He has fully recovered from the knee inflammation that kept him out from the match against Fiorentina. Today, like Bennacer, he trained with the rest of the group, too. https://t.co/3x4pDYASIp

📰SportMediaset: Zlatan Ibrahimovic is feeling better and he could return to training on the pitch already this week.
He hopes to recover so he can be available at least for the bench against Sampdoria. But, Milan does not want to take risks. https://t.co/BwlRvSHyjV

📰Sky: AC Milan's entire management was at Milanello today: not only Gazidis, Massara, and Maldini but also Hendrik Almstadt, who is the right arm of Gazidis, and Milan chief of scouts Geoffrey Moncada.
It was an opportunity to take stock of the next transfer mercato. https://t.co/wzDWMQwnrw

MN: Pioli faces selection dilemma ahead of Celtic game – defender could finally be rested

By Oliver Fisher - 2 December 2020, 17:11

Some team news is finally beginning to filter through from Milanello ahead of AC Milan’s Europa League clash with Celtic tomorrow.

The Rossoneri go into the game knowing that they are 90 minutes away from either having their qualification secured (which would happen if they beat Celtic and Lille do the business against Sparta Praha) or will face another dreaded winner-takes-all shootout in the sixth round.

According to Pietro Mazzara of MilanNews on Twitter, Pioli is expected to make some changes to the starting XI from the team that beat Fiorentina 2-0 on Sunday.

One of Jens Petter Hauge or Brahim Diaz will start on the left wing, with Rafael Leao not yet back from a muscle problem and Ante Rebic standing in for the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the centre-forward.

The candidacy of Brahim for that spot suggests Hakan Calhanoglu is likely to keep his place as they playmaker, while Mazzara adds that Simon Kjaer could finally be rested, with Matteo Gabbia his replacement at centre-back.

Finally, he adds in another tweet that Diogo Dalot will be given another start, though it is not clear if it will be at left-back or right-back, thus in place of Theo Hernandez or Davide Calabria respectively

Gianpaolo Calvarese will referee the match Sampdoria - AC Milan.

Milan's matches with Calvarese:

👕 16 games
✅ 10 Wins
🤝 03 Draws
❌ 03 Losses
🥅 04 Penalty kicks
🟨 33 Yellow cards

Calvarese's record against AC Milan:

🟨 40 Yellow cards
🟥 01 Red card

Report: Milan won't cash in on Calhanoglu
48 mins ago / autty
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Milan are not prepared to sell Hakan Calhanoglu in January, even if he won’t renew his contract at San Siro.

The Turkey international has established himself as a key member under coach Stefano Pioli and the attacking midfielder has been linked with a move away from the club.

His contract expires in June 2021 and he has yet to reach an agreement with the Rossoneri, meaning he could discuss with other clubs from January.

But the newspaper claims Milan are prepared to keep him at the club until the summer and are not ready to cash in on the former Bayer Leverkusen man during the winter.

Even if he doesn’t sign a new deal with the Diavolo, Calhanoglu seems set to complete the 2020-21 season with the club.

After Thauvin, AC Milan want second player from Marseille
Posted on December 3, 2020 by Rossonero

AC Milan are considering a double swoop from Marseille. After Thauvin, the Rossoneri want to sign Boubacar Kamara.
The January transfer window is approaching fast and AC Milan need to speed up their pursuit of a new centre back. The Rossoneri, as admitted by Paolo Maldini, are carefully scouting the French talents of Ligue 1 to strengthen the back line.

Mohamed Simakan is not the only target, whom the Red and Blacks tried to sign in the last hours of the summer transfer window. Strasbourg did not back down despite being offered 18 million euros by AC Milan and insisted that Simakan’s price was 25 million. At that time AC Milan considered the purchase of Marseille star Boubacar Kamara.

Sport.fr reports that AC Milan have not given up on the idea of completing a double signing from Marseille. Maldini publicly expressed his interest for right winger Florian Thauvin.

However, the 27-year-old winger could join the Rossoneri together with his teammate Kamara. The French portal writes that the name of Boubacar Kamara is high on AC Milan’s list of transfer targets for the defence.

Kamara is a natural centre back but has often been used as defensive midfielder. Just like for Thauvin, Marseille are on a tight corner also for Kamara. The contract of the 21-year-old defender expires in 18 months and no progress has been made in renewal talks. The youngster has received a lot of praise for his performances. The football press in France has been comparing Karama to former Milan great Thiago Silva for his elegance in interventions and the ability to read in advance the movements of the opponent.
