AC Milan are interested in OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram as they look to bolster that area of the squad, according to a report.

With Rade Krunic failing to offer guarantees so far when deployed in the double pivot, the Rossoneri continue to look for a defensive midfielder who can become a sort of deputy to Franck Kessie and complete a department which already boasts Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali as well as the Ivorian.

We revealed earlier this evening that the management are pushing ahead with contacts for Kouadio Kone, both with the player and with his club Toulouse, and that a paid loan with option to buy offer is ready.

According to the latest from il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), another name on the wish list aside from Kone is Khephren Thuram of Nice.

He is the second child of the former Parma and Juventus defender Lillian, and has made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side.

AC Milan would like to be certain of its squad assets, one way to do that is to ensure that its key players are bound to a new contract. Two of these players are Franck Kessié and Davide Calabria.

According to Tuttosport, AC Milan is looking to extend the deals with both these players as they have shown their qualities lately and proved to be very important players by contributing by giving a lot of effort. Both players, as a reward, will have their salaries adjusted.

Both have a contract that expires in June 2022 and the management’s idea is to renew them early. We absolutely do not want to repeat the situation we are seeing with Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu, who arrived less than six months from the deadline without renewal.
