Jens Petter Hauge signed with Milan coming from Bodo/Glimt in the previous mercato window after impressing at the San Siro and confirming to the scouts and management of the Rossoneri that he has the quality to be a worthy player.

The player from Norway has granted an interview recently to nrk.no and these are his statements:

“I enjoy every day that passes. Every day is a new opportunity for me to adapt to the city, the team and the group. I hope to continue to be part of this group and get as many minutes that I can. I have to show myself and take the opportunities that I get.”

On Zlatan Ibrahimovic:

“Zlatan is incredible, he is very seasoned. One can learn so much from him by observing how he plays the matches and how he trains. It is easier when he can speak Scandinavian. He helps me understand how I should play when we have the ball and how to defend.”

On his first goal in Serie A against Napoli:

“That was a big moment for me. Napoli are incredibly good. When I entered the match and scored the third goal, I was relieved. On that same day, Bodo/Glimt won the championship, it was a big day for me. All the matches are important for us. We must collect as many points as we can in order to keep moving forward.”

On playing against Ronaldo:

“It’s obviously clear that it’s a great thing to share the pitch with Cristiano Ronaldo. Him and Ibrahimovic are two players who really put football on the map in the last few years. They are two players that I always looked up to. It is fun to have played against one and play with the other.”

The reason is that Palazzo Marino wants clarification on the ownership of Inter and on the financial problems that Zhang Jingdong's club is having.

For Erling Haaland it is very difficult this summer not only for Milan but also for all the other clubs.
You have to spend more than 100M euros for Haaland and in times of pandemic like now, it is very difficult.

The AC Milan Women continue to move from strength to strength, having won 11 games out of 12 in the league so far this season, and with a new arrival.

Below are the key bits of news from over the last few days…

➤ AC Milan’s Laura Fusetti, Mária Korenčiová and Laura Agard have been named to the FIGC’s Top XI for the first half of the season.

➤ In particular, Korenčiová was named to the squad as she the highest shot stopping percentage. To date, the keeper has parried 81% of the shots that have come her way.

➤ Laura Fusetti and Laura Agard have formed a strong and formidable duo together. Fusetti has been a stalwart at the back, as the defender has an 82.6% pass accuracy rate, and averages a total of 6.11 interceptions per match. Meanwhile, Agard has a 86.2% pass accuracy rate, and manages to win 5.11 interceptions per game. She also wins 63.5% of her duels, while Fusetti wins 63.9% of her challenges (Wyscout). All three of them have been the backbone of a strong Milan defense, which has only let in five goals this season. Milan currently have the fifth best defense in all of Europe.

➤ AC Milan have signed Japan international Yui Hasegawa. You can read more about the signing here.

➤ Milan played against Sassuolo in the Coppa Italia Femminile on Sunday. The match ended 1-1. Milan started off brightly in the first half, but poor game management during the second half cost them a vital win. The team chose to sit back and counter attack and Sassuolo ran riot over the defense. Eventually, they would get the equaliser at the 91st minute, thanks to a strike by Belgian forward Davina Philtjens. Milan and Sassuolo will play the return leg on February 13th, a home game for the Rossonere.

➤ Milan will return to action this week as they take on San Marino this Sunday. The game will take place at 12:30pm CET, and will be played at the Vismara.

AC Milan will be forced to make a change to their squad list for the Europa League ahead of their Europa League Round of 32 game against Red Star.
As MilanNews writes, Milan acquired three players who did not come through academies in Italy, which is a factor to be taken into consideration.

Centre-back Fikayo Tomori joined on loan with option to buy from Chelsea, midfielder Soualiho Meite arrived from Torino on the same terms for the midfield, and Mario Mandzukic joined on a free transfer to reinforce the attack.
For the group stages, Milan registered a squad of 23 players in List A. Gigio Donnarumma, Matteo Gabbia and Daniel Maldini were included in List B because they came through the academy at Milan.
Because Leo Duarte, Mateo Musacchio and Andrea Conti have left, Milan find themselves with one less trained player having been trained in Italy. This should lead to the reduction of List A players from 23 to 22.
Therefore, the report adds, it is possible to assume the exclusion of a player who took part in the group stage or who arrived during the January transfer market. Rade Krunic, Jens Petter Hauge or Soualiho Meite seem to be the most obvious candidates, as per MilanNews.
The list of players that Pioli should have available for the two-legged game against Red Star is:
