Honest debate on Health Reforms in Tanzania

Ok enough with punch and judy politics.

With a 2010 population of approximately 43 million, Tanzania apparently the 7th most populous country in Africa. Our annual population growth rate is high (2.9%), and it is projected to remain high into the foreseeable future, dropping only to 2.7% by 2025.

According to our not so reliable National Bureau of Statistics website, our population projection attributes this stable population growth rate to a combination of a significant decline in the Total Fertility Rate (TFR), and a reduction in the crude death rate, largely resulting from declining infant and under 5 mortality. As a result of these dynamics, Our total population is projected to increase to 65.3 million by 2025.

Now have we asked ourselves if status quo is the best way to go without any significant reforms in our health systems?

The current Healthcare system is ok..... the major problem is money!, half a billion $ aint nothing, if we can put at least 2bn$.... things will be much better.

Its not OK kwa baadhi ya watu kwa sabbau si kwamba serikali ina fund gharama za faya bali sabbau baadhi ya asset na miundmbinu ya kutoa hudma za afya inamilikiwa na organisation za Kidini.Sasa utawaambiaje hawa its ok.............

Major problem is money. Yes Nadhani ndio maana hata serikali in rely kwa relady available investment za mashirika ya Dini.Sasa je watanzani wote wako Ukurasa mmoja.

Sasa utaanza kureform Nini? Huduma za afya au miundombinu na mli z seata ya afya...

• Huduma ziko hoi saabbu moja ya sababu kam ulivyotaja ni ya uhaba wa pesa.
• Kwenye mali serikali haijawekeza vya kutosha so inajikuta inahitaji inalazimika kushirikiana na wenye investment.

Ukiangalia serikali inaaazisha Mikoa na wilaya mya utakuta kuna shule na huduma nyingine lakini kwenye afya utakuta hopitali zenye hadhi ni zile zisizo za serikali......

It depends on what you mean by "is ok" and also depends on how much you know about our healthcare system. Ukiangalia dogo tu la vitanda hospitali unachoka, ukipita Muhimbili unasikia harufu mbaya kama uko dampo. Do you call that ok? achilia mbali mwananyamala, Ilala, temeke, etc etc. Juzi tu tumesikia kilio cha madaktari mpaka watu wamesimamishwa kazi. Mkuu sijui uko Tanzania gani.
