How Charles Njonjo barred Africanisation of the judiciary

How Charles Njonjo barred Africanisation of the judiciary

Those nations which [ you're deluded ] created everything in modern world, copied a lot of knowledge from other nations (Asia and Africa). You know right that if it wasn't for Chinese gun powder, there wouldn't be Vasco da Gama, Christopher Columbus or North America.

Even today in the pharmaceutical industries, a lot of knowledge from the indigenous people in Africa (like type of roots to cure diseases) is stolen and then patented as if it's theirs.
That is how civilizations get spread, you need to be shortchanged first to adapt.
Why use the same secessionist policies today if they never materialised post indepence? Mko kwenye giza Wa Tanzagiza.

We had clothes, techonology, and language way before the whites came better check your facts brethren.Njonjo was/is a coon/Uncle tom/ a bonafide house negro and so is anyone of african descent who idolises and worships the whiteman.

Specifically for Tanzagiza which technology did you have? Fire crackers were spread by the Mongols to European Countries such as Hungary during The reign of Geghis Khan's son Ogodei Khan. We learn through others and strive to make sound decisions on our own sio kupinga kila kitu.

And all kind of mistrust between tz and ke rose from there, it is very sad that the plan was to unite Tanganyika, Ke, Zanzibar and Uganda to one big East Africa, unfortunately it ended up with Tanganyika and Zanzibar,
We’d be boasting of $150bn GDP, 150mn people, Huge market with borderless Trade, Movement of people, we should’ve linked SGR from dar, mombasa, Nairobi to kampala,
Imagine,
Our Military could’ve been undisputed in Africa,
Why should we not blame Mbuzi kama hii Charles njojo and the likes??
We should start lobbying for these unit as wananchi wema so that we have a one united country with one president , Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar , you can coil the name so that we fulfill the dreams of mwalimu Nyerere and Mzee Kenyatta so that yule jamaa wa dream killer aka njonjo afe Kwa stress.

The Duke of Kabeteshire Sir Charles Njonjo talks about his high end suits tailored by one of the famous Saville Row shops in London

Testimonial :
Growing up, I identified pinstripes with Kenya’s former Attorney General, Charles Njonjo. The Duke of Kabeteshire was the epitome of style, with his Saville Row, wide lapel pinstriped suits, worn with a matching waistcoat underneath. I wish today’s public figures would put in half the effort he used to put in in his image.

Which technology did we have? While I disagreed with njonjo on many things like trying to ban the use of Swahili in Kenya ,if not for our gallant parliamentarians who stood their grounds and insisted that as a country must have Swahili as our national language. Njonjo also never dated black African girls because he hated anything black and remained virgin till he turned 52 ,but that was his personal choice am not judging him. Otherwise he was the worst AG in our history and misadviced Mzee Kenyatta.

Charles Njonjo sent me to exile, I am still bitter - Prof. Yash Ghai

Constitutional lawyer Yash Pal Ghai has laid bare the bad blood existing between him and former Attorney General Charles Njonjo. ... He accused Njonjo of mistreating and exiling him for 17 years, during his (Njonjo) tenure which ran between 1963 and 1979.

The constitutional lawyer narrated how he had to remain in Tanzania where was teaching at the University of Dare salaam, after getting wind that Njonjo planned to have him locked upon returning.

Ghai said that he is a Kenyan born in Limuru, Kiambu County and is yet to forgive Njonjo for using his powers to settle their differences in such an inhumane manner.

“I am very bitter he (Njonjo) threw me out of my country and profession. He was a very arrogant man. As it is, he lives 100 yards from where I live (but) we don’t greet each other,"

Ghai who has been involved in constitutional matters in the country narrated how he was warned by his former students working with Njonjo that his arrival would be tragic.

"One day when I was preparing to come to Nairobi, I got a message ‘don’t come’. Some of my former law students who were now working at the AG’s chambers told me ‘you will be locked up immediately," he said.

Njonjo is not new to such claims and has also been accused of spearheading founding Vice President Jaramogi Oginga's troubles which led to his resignation in 1966.

Now it is sinking in why Sir Charles Njonjo the Duke of Kabeteshire insisted only those from Ivy colleges and Oxbridge are fit to become world class advocates.

Kenya : Big debate as nearly all students fail bar exams

Eighty per cent of law students who sat their bar exams in November 2018 did not qualify to be admitted into practice.

Only 308 of 1,572 from 38 local and international universities passed the exams, representing only 20 per cent.

Results released by the Council of Legal Education (CLE) on Tuesday show a poor performance from all the universities where candidates registered for the exams, with the best -- Kisii University -- coming top after 20 out of its 60 candidates qualified for admission to the roll of advocates.

The latest performance report put Kisii at the top in terms of qualifying law students, followed closely by Kenyatta University which had 32 out of its 98 registered students passing the exams while Strathmore University came third with 28 of its 86 candidates qualifying.

Although it had the highest number of candidates sitting the bar exams at 498, Kenya’s oldest higher education institution -- the University of Nairobi -- had just 112 of its law students qualifying coming a distant fourth.
