The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) has recently been reorganized. Under new management, TANESCO will now focus on increasing the outreach and service quality of its Energy products for Tanzania people. Next to its current passion as a leading provider of electricity and to be more efficient customers focused utility for Tanzania and beyond. The Company has the largest electricity generation, transmission and distribution network in Tanzania. POSITION OBJECTIVE
ICT Manager - Business Services is in charge of the ICT operational aspects in order to ensure that systems are available to users and operate at optimum level. He/she provides leadership in the development and use of business application systems; and works closely with department heads and/or designated staff to identify and prioritize information systems requirements. The incumbent is responsible for the computerised Records Management and continuously reviews the policies, procedures and legal requirements governing them.

Education:
· A good Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences or Information Technology or equivalent.
· Possession of Post Graduate qualifications in Business Management will be an added advantage.
Experience:
· At least Five (5) years of full-time experience in ICT at a manager level position in a reputable company/organization.

POSITION OBJECTIVE
ICT Manager - Business Services is in charge of the ICT operational aspects in order to ensure that systems are available to users and operate at optimum level. He/she provides leadership in the development and use of business application systems; and works closely with department heads and/or designated staff to identify and prioritize information systems requirements. The incumbent is responsible for the computerised Records Management and continuously reviews the policies, procedures and legal requirements governing them.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Identifies critical business issues and develop workable solutions for end users as well as management. These solutions may include enhancements to existing core applications, refresher training, new software packages, and/or customer programs.
- Managing business systems personnel to ensure application availability and performs day to day administration of the business systems.
- Researching on the IT software trends and advice the organization on the best IT practices, third party or off the shelf software systems.
- Provides process design, documentation and re-engineering to the programs. Monitor compliance to ICT policies, procedures and standards relating to ICT services activities.
- Ensures continuous development of information technology in consideration of changing environment.
- Develop and manage change management programs and activities to ensure quality service delivery and resource productivity.
- Monitor and advice on issues related to business intelligence. Carry out data mining exercises and generate the requisite reports.
- Ensure that the changing demands of the TANESCOs business units are met at all times and shall work closely with the TANESCO service desk operations.
