BACKGROUND OF TEATO
Tanzania Education and Academic Transformation (TEATO) is a recently registered Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) under section 12 (2) of Act No. 24 of 2002 with registration number 00NGO/00007334.
We are a forward-thinking organization aiming to prepare our students and youths for a rapidly changing world by equipping them with critical thinking skills, global perspective, and respect for core values of honesty, integrity, loyalty, and compassion. Developing these skills is the corner stone of the education we offer. Students and Youths will have success for today and be prepared for tomorrow.

OUR MISSION
To prepare young people to make informed decisions over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of academic spirit for our national development.
OUR OBJECTIVES
i. Forming a team of competent academicians who will be willing to work in various schools under TEATO especially in rural areas for specific periods.
ii. To encourage students to devote equal efforts in both science and arts subjects especially in Mathematics as it seems to be a national calamity.
iii. To provide awards for the best students with highest "A" score marks in science subjects.
iv. To organize academic bonanzas among schools regional-wise for classes with national examinations
v. To organize annual academic stakeholders conference
vi. To conduct researches in various schools in Tanzania in collaboration with Ministry of Education and Vocational Training to know what problems are facing various schools and make it known to the government responsible authorities; TEATO is committed to solve these problems as far as practicable.
vii. To establish schools for assisting orphans and children from handicapped families; the schools will provide free education to this group while charging fees to those from families which are able to pay fees for them.
viii. To provide capacity building platforms to teachers; this will help them improving their skills thus enabling them to impart their knowledge to our students. This includes sponsoring them for higher education in our universities in their academic related courses for both Bachelor Degree and Masters Degree levels.
ix. To act as a recruiting agencies of teachers mainly on behalf of private schools so as to enhance quality of teachers and reduce unemployment rate in Tanzania.
x. To act as a link between students and teachers in various schools in Tanzania so as to narrow the gap of knowledge between this group and enhance academic performance
xi. To build libraries in various schools within Tanzania especially in rural areas to enable students' development of information-literate as well as helping students achieving academic success and boost their drive to learn.
xii. To carry out an extensive literacy programs to equip girls of rural and backward areas with a quality education
xiii. To consistently engaged in alleviating the predicament of school communities struck by natural calamities such as storms due to strong winds and any floods due to intensive rains. This will ensure that all schools faced by such circumstances are repaired to their original conditions;
xiv. To impart and provide business and entrepreneurship skills and knowledge through our trainings to various communities so as to reduce the rate of unemployment in Tanzania.
xv. Providing awareness programs relating to Human Rights such as education of Gender Based Violence(GBV)
xvi. Providing education on awareness of Environmental conservation and natural resource management
