Just out of curiosity: Ni nani anagharamia matangazo ya JK karibu sasa wiki inaisha yanarushwa na ITV na Redio One? Hizo hotuba zinarudiwa rudiwa jamaa akijustify 'masafari' yake mtoni. I wish gharama za matangazo hayo zingelipia madawa na kuanzisha zahanati huko vijijini. JK government is like kindargaten football which keeps chasing the ball all over and istead of working 'professional footballers' in handling the national issues. sasa hivi ni mbio za kuimba 'kilimo kwanza'

The reasons why we're poor are well known. All the matters stated above are not new to us. What we need right now,or what should be done to rescue the situation is to throw away the so called CHAMA CHA MAPINDUZI. Mind you, all fisads, irresponsible senior gvt officials, corrupt figures and other figures who don't care about the future of the country are products of CCM.
Nice piece of work the issue here is that there is alot of irresponsibility among the government. Most of them in summary goes down to lack of accountability among government officials. From top to bottom such contribute to these dilema and grafiti that reveals from some of these studies.
I am not suprise by the report i am sure if someone is going to investigate BOT staff trips and training abroad JF forums members most of you will faint. Just a glimpse BOT staff members they are paid an enormous per diem, travelling first class (ignoring business class), paid in full in five star hotels and many more. What is gained from such a trip is completely a joke.
Likewise TRA staff members the same kind of story. Commisioner Kitilya and his accompany members never travel with economy class ticker (they book business and first class plus his wife also who is not TRA staff (Amazing isn't it?). Their allowances abroad you will shed tears asking if realy Tanzania is that poor. But perhaps all these incidents and allegations cut across a particular point what causes it. You will find it in 2 main issues simply lack of accountability, personal perks (ubinafsi).
That is why I agree with donor government that they are not going to release the funding if this kind of disease continues. Even if Chadema comes in or CUF bad governance remain the number one disease in most African government. My advise to all you is that One whether CCM, Chadema, CUF revive the Old Azimio la Arusha it had a well structured governance system needed to combat these type of incidence. We do not need a mzungu from UK or US to come and advise on things that are already in our books let us practice those before seeking for extra advise. Second accountability starts with president himself. A president is like a father of the house if the father potray good manners then obvious the rest of the family members will follow otherwise it will be disastrous. President Kikwete i know is good chap but i think he needs to decide to build or bring down the house. If he shows a sense of accountability likewise his primeminister, ministers, deputies, permanent secretaries will follow the same path (This is what nyerere did and it helped him, Obama is doing it also).
Otherwise even if Chadema, CUF comes in it will be the same story or even Worse (Kenya is an example).

What a normal mwananchi can do is only vent out the anger. But the truth is more than 50% of the budget is spent irresponsibly.
Serikali imeshakuwa kama kichaka cha walanguzi wa posho. Haya maposho wanayapenda kwa sababu hayakatwi kodi. Yanavuruga sana mfumo wa uchumi na ndo yanasababisha inflation zisizoweza kuwa controlled. Watu wanalipwa kama vile wanauza dhahabu na mafuta. Unfortunately they are delivering nothing!!!
Haya yanayoandikwa humu kwenye reports kama hizi ni only tip of the iceberg. Serikali zetu ndivyo zinavyoendeshwa and there is no exception. Sometimes unamshangaa msomi anayefanya kazi serikalini na longo longo anazachapa majukwaani. Hakuna tofauti kati ya mwanasiasa na msomi. Wote "manziganyanza"
Ndo maana watu majumbani kwao wanaishi maisha ya standard za first world halafu ukija mgao wa umeme hao hao wa kwanza kulalamika. Hao hao ukiwakuta airport ndo wanalalamikia uchafu na uozo wa miundo mbinu pale. Walioko serikalini hasa wakubwa wote ni WEZI tuu.
Hakuna anayeweza kupambana na haya malipo yasiyokuwa na maelezo. Maelezo yake ni kuwa haya maposho ndo "institutionalized corruption" yenyewe. Bajeti unaweza kuona mabilioni ya shillingi lakiki unashangaa, bara bara hazijengwi, shule hazijengwi, nyumba za walimu hazijengwi, hospitali hazijengwi, ...... n.k. Hata vyoo vya shule za misingi vinajengwa na fedha za misaada.
Lakini hizi hela za bajeti zote zinaishia mifukoni mwa watu through malipo ya posho. Matokeo yake unaishia kuona majumba makubwa makubwa ya kuishi watu ambao huelewi hizo fedha wanapata vipi. Bei za vitu zinapanda ovyo kwa sababu kuna watu anaamua wiki hii nataka nitengeneze milioni thelathini na anapata. Bahati mbaya sana hazitengenezi, bali anachota. Maposho haya ndo biggest industry inaozalisha matajiri wa Tanzania.

Na hii namna mojawapo ya jinsi serikali ya CCM imewateka WATUMISHI wa UMMA. Wanajenga majumba ya mamilioni bila kukopa, wanaendesha magari mazuri tu, watoto wanasoma shule za "kimataifa" kwa karo kubwa tu kuanzia chekechea, wana nyumba ndogo kadhaa,....Halafu tunakaa tunaota ndoto za kuiondoa CCM madarakani!?

But he was categorical that it would not be proper for a senior government official to fly economy class a whole eight hours or longer between Dar es Salaam and New York while government officials from poorer countries had first class tickets.
"We are in fact generally doing better than some other countries because we occasionally travel with senior government officials flying first class yet they are from poorer countries than Tanzania. This is a system that we have agreed upon in the government," he said.
