IMF April 2019 GDP Figures. Kenya Hits $99 Billion.. Tanzania Overtaken by Ghana

Much shall be spoken concerning with the Tanzanian economic status compared t Kenya. The former EAC ruined Tanzania and UG because all industries were located in Kenya and after its collapse industries remained in Kenya. Later industries boosted the economy of Kenya. This eventuated the same to Britain when USA got her independence all industries remained in USA. USA used scientifically those industries to boost her economy and later overthrew Britain though stupid ideas shall be brought here. I have also detected that Kenyans cogitate that MAGUFULI hates them and their nation. There some economic evils which Kenya did in Tanzania which are evidenced but Tanzania has never blamed Kenya over it. So my concerns let us not create stupid enmity among us. We must fight for economic prosperity of our nations. So don't ponder that Kenya shall be leading for rever.

We're are talking of a common East African market and you're talking nonsense.
Germany invaded the rest of Europe not to long ago. Today Germany is the largest trading partner of most European countries. The EU has led to the prosperity of the whole of Western Europe.

Kenyan anger over Turkana 'starvation' being ignored 19 March 2019 Africa

Image captionPoor rains, livestock disease, a locust invasion are among the factors blamed for the starvation

Kenyans have accused their government of ignoring drought victims following reports that at least 10 people have died of hunger in the north-western Turkana region.

The hashtag #WeCannotIgnore has been trending on Twitter in the country.

The Kenyan government has said more than 1.1 million people are facing food shortages.

But authorities say this figure is "normal" and the deaths are not directly related to the drought.

James Oduor from the Drought Management Authorities told the BBC that there is nothing unusual about one million people facing starvation.

"Due to poverty, almost under normal circumstances about a million people always require food assistance because... they are poor," Mr Oduor told the BBC's Newsday programme.

He added that the rains from October to December were lower than normal.

'Not yet an emergency'

Livestock disease, a locust invasion and insecurity in the region have also been blamed.

But Mr Oduor said that this "is not yet emergency".

"For example 2017, in March, at the height of drought, when the president declared drought a national disaster, we had almost 3.4 million [in need]," he said.

The matter has been trending on Twitter in the country following posts by BBC journalist Roncliffe Odit on Monday of these pictures:

Not surprised with IMF reaction after JPM tightened the noose for mining companies and EPA!

Vile tunapiga Angola chini pamoja na hiyo crude yote nashangaa. Halafu Ile nchi naona iko na potential kukua haraka kiuchumi kulingana na mali asili yake pamoja na soko tayari ya raia wake ni Congo. They only need to do it right politically and seal all the loopholes through which foreigners are swindling their resources and they are good to go. Long live county governments in Kenya, we only need to minimize the corruption and insist on accountability at the grassroots. Counties are enabling uniformity in terms of national growth. After twenty years of devolution, I bet that there will be no typical remote areas in Kenya.

Kenyans are simply hard working, the economy of Kenya is based on agriculture not industries, the government just amplified the kenyan economy by expanding the ports and improving road networks the rest is being done by kenyan investors unlike lazy ass Tanzania where they depend on the government to do everything for them, in kenya Indians are having a rough time competing with kenyan entrepreneurs who actually run the economy and remember half of kenya is a semi desert. But today we have oil which will certainly boost the economy to greater heights. Tz can never be anywhere near kenya's dominance mfikie Ethiopia kwanza. Kenya is on a different league.
