President of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Dr. Tulia Ackson met and held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg on Friday morning (July 12, 2024).

They discussed ways to strengthen global peace. Dr. Tulia is the Speaker of the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Having a chance of meeting with Putin somehow is a privilege for her, as Tanzania is nearing election, it may be a political millage to allure electorate . Time will come this event will be used as token to convince people of Mbeya town to bring her back again because she is internationally recognised as mediator of peace .
