This rumor has become so elusive, we need to get DOD insiders to give info...
Is KDF operating the MI-28 Havoc Attack Helicopter ??

I have seen many defense articles stating so, the rest of the info on the articles is well collaborated with pics....but the MI-28 remains elusive

I am privy to some information given that my friend is a colonel in the Kenya airforce. Yes, Kenya does have the Mi-28 (NATO code name "Havoc"). Kenya will not accept having, since NATO countries (Defense allies to kenya), do not want to affect the military balance in the region. The fear from NATO is an arms race in east africa. They want to maintain Kenya as the regional military power but with checks.

Also Kenyan air force pilots have been training secretly with Israel Defense forces in more advanced Jet fighters(F16), awaiting American approval to procure the same jets.

Israel also sold to us the tactical guns used by their forces like the IWI Tavor-21 which will soon be a standard issue for all KDF soldiers combined with the FN scar which will also be a standard issue rifle. What I do not know is which rifle will replace these powerful tactical rifles in the special squads.

Many times Israel has been accused for not disclosing weapon sales to Kenya, so we do not know what else they supplied to KDF,and KDF will never talk about it. I only know about some espionage systems, counterinsurgency systems and UAVs (Unmanned Ariel vehicles) also known as drones for border patrol in 2010.

Wow! Thanks...
By the way, only a few selected African countries possesses FN scar.

Also rumours are spreading that Kenya may already have 8 F 16 fighters only approval from the American congress and other contractual obligations have stopped fielding of the jets. Karangi was the initiator of the talks. Find below pictures of him testing out an F 16 in America.

And here is the source of the rumour (8-F-16 Fighters Awaiting Assembly in Kenya – Strategic Intelligence Service)

While talking about KDF let us also not forget the Kenya police special operations units like Gsu (General service unit) Reece squad and the AP (Administration police) special force squad, swat and the RDU (Rapid deployment unit).
The Special Force(SF) unit is an extremely elite AP brigade. Unlike Recce which is specialized in hostage rescue, this brigade is only equaled to the 75th Ranger Battalion of the USA army. Its operations are highly secretive, very very secretive that even some of those close to power aren’t aware of.
This force has the best of training in direct action, forcible entry and counterterrorism. It’s their presence at 14 Riverside (same complex with DusitD2 hotel) that raised lots of attention from their professionalism and competence in neutralizing terror attack.

This is awesome stuff... some more jets are needed, plus the MI-28 or KA-52 , our neighbor in the North is getting naughty and needs to be shown who holds the bigger gun.

Has the MI-28 been used in any combat?
who is operating it? KAF or the 50th calvary?

Unadhani hao wazungu wanajali dini zenu? Wao maslahi yao tu na wamewapata puppets wa kuwatumia.

Your contribution is irrelevant , zile 2nd - grade weapons ambazo mnauziwa na China zinatumika wapi??

They are AP special force, they have even been to somalia to rescue KDF soldiers behind enemy lines about 2 times.

They have their own air-lift capabilities or under the police air wing?

No, Al-shabaab have outdated weapons and their power has been diminished that is why they depend on attack and run tactics.
