You need to follow legal procedure, not otherwise.The speech by the young MP is wrong on many levels, but we also have laws pertaining to work permits and level of skill required. Tanzania certainly is a signatory to free movement of people but it is not signatory to free movement of labor to kenya. Ugandans and Rwandans do not have a problem they get work permits in Kenya without charges, but since Tanzania and Burundi refused to sign the Free movement of labor protocol in 2015, thus they need to pay the charges in order to work. Also the workers working here from Tanzania, Burundi,Pakistan and some Chinese are not expatriates. We have hundreds of illegal hawkers from Tanzania, masons and farm hands from Burundi , other hawkers and barbers from the DRC who are not authorized to work in Kenya, this is what we should not accept people coming to work illegally in Kenya because I know from experience that even with legal documents you will still face discrimination in our neighbouring countries apart from Uganda(I have worked across the eac). No country can allow this, to happen so why should Kenyans always be the ones giving and not receiving reciprocity in the region? This is by no means an excuse for his words but i understand where he is coming from. Kenya has opened its border to her neighbors but all apart from Uganda, are taking advantage of Kenya. I have no problem with Ugandans because I saw many small businesses in Kampala and entebbe run by Kenyans, we should and have also opened our economy to her(Uganda) citizens, but the rest unless they have proper documents, they should pack up and ship out.

Do you ever think before talking? How can an illegal immigrant own land, unless your immigration and land laws are weak. Also if there are illegal Kenyan workers in Tanzania then they should be deported back to Kenya. Third, Kenya will not get hurt by this do not overestimate your importance to Kenya. If it was Uganda it would be another issue since they are our largest trading partner in the eac.
