Most of these new rappers are lacking in depth.

That's why I think Hov might have just reminded them that 'hey...this is how it's supposed to be'.

Especially that line about Future....hahahaa.

That is about as slick and clever one can take a shot at somebody.

Nowadays I can't even tell if these rappers are singing or rapping [although some of their songs are good...entertainment wise].

But if you're looking for depth, creative wordplay, stuff that will make you think, this new crop of hip-hoppers ain't the place to find it.

Where are the EPMDs of today?

They are probably unsigned hypes.

Hov's album used to be so tight. Even a song like "22 Two's" from Reasonable Doubt, certainly not a hit, cannot be compared to any in his last two albums in terms of flow and clever wordplay.

There was a certain hunger that is not there anymore.

Give me "22 Two's" over 4:44 any day of the year.

Hahahaaa...I think you're right on that.

Couple months ago he was on ESPN's First Take and said Kobe Bryant was better than MJ.

You could tell even he himself probably didn't believe in what he was saying but that he was just saying it for the hell of it.

Check him out. He had this expressive look on him that suggested he didn't believe in it😀
