That’s my daily commute to work. The video starts from somewhere in Uthiru to James gichuru. That’s like half the entire stretch from Limuru to westlands... I must say the contractors have really upped their game in the last couple of months!!!
 
This project is a gamechanger. This is a serious juggernaut and will be the most expensive road in Kenya although Thika road will still remain as the widest road in Kenya.

We are used to highways, interchanges, flyovers etc, now we are moving to elevated road corridors. China has perfected this, even Canadians can not beat the chinese at building these type of roads.

Four lanes and you are proud? We built a ten lane highway more than ten years ago. Also stop your exaggerations you people are just on another planet of your own, divorced from the reality of your insignificant existence.

I also do not think you understand the phrase "elevated road". What you saw in the video is first part then an elevated corridor will be built on top. The chinese have already approved the loan and it will be a first in east and central africa, just as Thika road was the first and still remains the widest road in east and central africa

To add to the one in Nairobi another will be built in eldoret


Sh60bn elevated road to open up Eldoret town
Ahead of upgrade to city status;, also work on Southern Bypass and plans for Northern Bypass

Overpass will run 30km from Eldoret International Airport to the junction on the Eldoret-Iten road.

Eldoret faces major traffic jams with 300,000 vehicles operating in the town daily.
 
This elevated highway will link up to the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway which is also scheduled to be upgraded to an expressway once the elevated highway is done. A contractor for the same has already been identified. Combine that with the train line that will connect JKIA to Nairobi CBD (To be built by the French). JKIA will be the aviation hub of choice in the region and it will increase passenger numbers.
