It is not the only tower undergoing development in Nairobi. There arr dozens more, of which this one happens to be the tallest, by far.

Look at this report, it says that 25% of the skyscrapers undergoing construction in Africa arr in Kenya.

CTBUH’s tall building predictions for 2017

So much of Dar consists of such settlements- the unplanned settlements whereby the rich and the poor live side by side, it is not zoned like in Nairobi whereby we have the neighborhoods for the affluent, the high income group, middle income group, lower middle income group and the lower income group (the poor)?

so you saying we are bullies ? we are the nation that concentrate on us but somehow people will just quote us out of context n think we are a certain way . its good that its been said that economically we are not doing good so thats the only thing you will celebrate other than that nothing lol . i mean nothing
fyi this is soweto

fyi this is the soweto that yall call a slum

I earlier told you that you're a real Tanzanian using south Africa to defend yourself.... Prove to us your a south African...

Bullies...arrogant, is the proper word to describe your attitude, I understand that there is a cross- section of your pipo who do not consider SA as part of Africa, and would wish the country's completely dissociated from the rest of the poor, politically and economically dysfunctional continent.

Anybody celebrating your current political and economic turmoils seriously need to havr their head checked. Our countries would take years to attain the same level of economic success and living standards, even if it were to remain stagnant for a decade.

Soweto is such an awesome place, one place I would like to see in case I will ever get the opportunity to visit SA. But there slums, really bad slums in SA and the cities accross the country.

Prove that you're a south African... Just screenshot your current residence on Google map

I see you are not well informed about Google map.

fyi location can be screen-captured
anywhere on earth...I can screen-capture my current location in SA while aim in Russia.

At last....
Thanks you so much for understanding. It's my hope that you'll be keep on keeping on bringing to their attention how unplanned settlements of Dar differ with that of Nairobi, and of course a distinction between unplanned settlements and slums.

One building? Really? Nah, that's sinking to quite a perplexing low.

The slum upgradement project in Soweto was a relative success, So was the Kibera one, less so though. But Soweto is a huge township, a whooping 200sqkm! There are (a few) shacks in Soweto. Though from what I saw, about 80% of Soweto is low income urban housings with basically all amenities. It's khayelitsha, in the cape of good hope that's really eerie.

That's you know...you're so inferior to the point of supporting a superior nation

So in short Dar is a huge unplanned settlement all over save the CBD whereas Nairobi has developed world standard districts juxtaposed with some of the ugliest shanty towns on earth. Thing is the latter cover only 6% of the city

Where you are. This is why Nairobi posses the worst slums on earth. The slums are badly populated with fully of delapilated huts

very bad, but not the very worst slums on earth. You been to makoko in Nigeria? or seen the Indian and Nepal ones?

And you surprisingly talk as if dar has no slums. They aren't as big as Nairobi ones because of the zoning system of Dar es Salaam, or rather the lack of. But small as they are, they're no better than Kibera aesthetically
