Kenya Airways Cancels New York Flights As Demand Dips

Kenya Airways Cancels New York Flights As Demand Dips

I understand what you are talking about. But does that completely deny TZ the rights of trying something new somewhere else which involves the same product?....

The amount of flowers you can take to newyork Flower Auction after loading passangers and 85 tons of fuel is too little for a flower exchange and they would be priced out of affordability due to transport costs.
Tanzania cannot have its own coffee/ Tea auction, their quantity is too small compared to kenya, they have no option but use mombasa auction

Right. In the beginning there have to be some fine tuning in order to put everything in check. Mtafanikiwa tu
It was essential that we secure the new route first. Now we're crafting just how best to fit in. It's called testing of the waters.

You dont understand, Direct flights to Newyork were to enable American Airlines like delta, AA, JetBlue etc to have an airport with Category 1 status in kenya for them to land. Jubilee propaganda made it about KQ and that explains why no American airlines have made a crazy bid for JFK-NBO or atlanta/ Chicago - NBO

And that's why I said it was first important to secure the route regardless of the in efficiencies. Anything to do with quantity is something that can be improved on. Tanzania can't be forever dependent on Kenyan auctions when it can as well increase it's output for the purposes of developing it's own auction center and if possible rival it as well.

Kingine very few TanzanianTanzanian will ditch ET for KQ!
1. Kenya Airways does not depend on Tanzanians.

2. The few Tanzanians who fly KQ don't do it because of goodwill. They do it because it's the practical alternative.

Once JKIA is Cat 1 airport..there is nothing else left to secure Cat 1 status. All American Airlines can land at JKIA..There is no role for KQ To "Secure" the route. The is no need to waste money on a loss making route which if it were profitable American Airlines would have Quickly snatched up the oportunity..Example is JKIA- DXB, Emirates is always full

Loss making route and it barely started recently. A toddler running before even crawling ehn?..

The shocking thing is that its High Season for Tourisim in EAC. If pax numbers are low when usa citizens are escaping winter to sunbathe in EAC what about when the sun returns to their continent?
This route wount survive for even 1 year, Its a total loss.
What a shame! Kenyans were played by Jubilee with Richard Quest pocketing a cool $1mn.
hahahaha.... i knew there was something fishy behind richard quest visit to kenya.thanks bro.

I have told you there is No Airline Industry that smells Money More than American Airlines/ Delta airlines..If the route was profitable, their jets would clog JKIA...There is simply no money on the route

Time will tell! We have two things here, KQ plying direct flights and the ability to have a direct route whether by kq itself or other companies. Either of the two comes with some advantages.

You dont understand Airline business..Margins are razor thin and any route that has money is Quickly snapped up by the big boys..Its soo competitive that Emirates has already edged out British Airways from Heathrow -JFK route.
NBO-JFK has no money,No airline is intrested..
