Kenya backed off from trade dispute with Tanzania

biashara huwa haifanywi na kichwa ngumu na majivuno...eti Tit for Tat..kama mtoto mdogo vile...ndio maana mko maskini tu mpaka wa leo na rasilimali nyingi..ujeuri wa peni mbili....huo ni upumbavu wa hali ya juu...I am glad wamesuluhisha shida hizi...Uhuru knows what Kenya is gaining sasa hawez akaanza kuplay hard to get kama wajinga wengine...unajifanya jeuri huku unapoteza hela? duh!! huyo si mkenya...mkenya heri atusiwe lakini pesa azitie mfukoni...
mbona una hasira?

hehe...wewe una matatizo...kama huamini World Bank details leta zako basi tuone...
U should be asking urself what is all about this trade row. FYI after Pembe milling closed shop in Tanzania Bakhresa is taking Kenyan market n after taking her market shares in over 10 African countries including South Africa n soon will acquire one of ur milling firms (not allowed to disclose name).

Whereas Lakeoil operating from Tanga port (a defacto East African oil capital with Uganda's oil pipeline launch in August) is taking gas and oil business in Kenya with 20% market share in gas after Kenobil's exit in Tanzania n going even stronger after acquiring Haas Kenya ready to snatch oil sector with competitive oil prices to Kenyan consumers.

A Tanzanian company related to Quality group wants to buy a stake in Nakumatt businesses in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. In business the issue is not who comes first but who finishes the last lap. A lesson Kenyan companies should learn.

A Tanzanian company related to Quality group wants to buy a stake in Nakumatt business in both Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. In business the issue is not who comes first but who finishes the last lap. A lesson Kenyan companies should learn.

Tanzania is not taking Kenyan market my frend...we are both doing business... there are tz companies operating in the Kenyan market sikatai...however, the volume of trade and value accrued for our companies outdoes the efforts of these Tanzanian companies by far..our stock exchanges are much more extensive and powerful....sio makosa Kenya is the business hub of the East African region and the official entry for multinationals looking to invest in EA..

Wacha kuwa idiot! I asked a simple question which of those companies is at the moment profitable? If u put ur ego aside then u will agree with me that those companies tried to chew what their jaws couldn't afford to support as a result those companies shed teeth...

It's stupidity of highest order to brag of presence of bankrupt Kenyan companies in Tanzania while they continue to mint losses! Business sense asks such a company to withdraw from a tough market n avoid minting more losses!

Kobil amekufa kibudu. Ameshaanza kuuza vituo vyake kwa Puma Energy Tanzania(kampuni ambayo serikali ya Tanzania ina share 50%) sasa

MY TAKE
What happened to adultered gas from Tanzania? Has Kenya already secured those gas testing equipments?

What i liked about this row is how Magu reacted he never beat around the bush he went strait n banned dairy exports from Kenya knowing exactly Uhuru will feel the pinch.

I love the way Kenya has been embarrassed by being forced to rectract her decision i.e. ban wheat flower n gas from Tanzania. One thing Kenya should reminded from the Wahengas is "a hungry stomach can not fight". Better tell Uhuru to quit being high on whatever he smokes. That thing can't cure hunger. Stupid protectionism from Kenya...

You want to claim victory in what the report has clearly stated it was a dispute amicably resolved in a discussion btwn the two heads of state. Kenya didnt lift the ban without some concessions from the other side.

The agreement was reached on condition that Tanzania will be ensuring that the gas getting into Kenya meets the standards, it had been very lax in ensuring that, giving the unscrupulous traders the leeway of getting their poor quality gas into Kenya. In the meantime Kenya will still proceed with the plan of installing quality inspection equipment at tge Namanga border.

There are no winners or loosers in this trade dispute. Was it not Magu who had started with the threats on restrictions on Kenyan milk? But why has he made an about face on the decision? So Kenyans should Kenyans claim victory in the dispute? No!
Both sides recognized that they had a lot to lose.

So, this matter had to be resolved somehow.

Mkuu vipi ile mashine walisema wataweka Mpakani kukagua gesi mbofu from Tz, wameweka au ilkuwa porojo tu, kuna Mkenya huku nilimwambiwa watabana wataachia tu
Bcos your govt has promised to take action on those traders supplying Kenya with the substandard lpgs, but the plan hasnt been put on hold.

Hahah evidence? If u read carefully Capital fm states Tanzanian ban on Kenya's good was a retaliation of Kenya's protectionism!
